Esto sumado a las s<strong>emanas de confinamiento en las que entr\u00f3 la ciudad, por cuenta de la pandemia del Covid-19, <\/strong>y que ha reducido el n\u00famero de veh\u00edculos en la calle, ha permitido la baja en la accidentalidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<strong>Se han reducido en un 43% los da\u00f1os, 26% los heridos<\/strong> y lo m\u00e1s importante y por lo cual nosotros trabajamos en educaci\u00f3n en los controles, que es en prevenir las muertes; en eso tenemos un balance muy positivo que es del 55%\u00bb, indic\u00f3 Elberto Garavito, secretario de Movilidad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Y es que entre los meses de enero y junio de 2019, 27 personas perdieron la vida en accidentes de tr\u00e1nsito y 226 resultaron heridas; mientras que en el mismo periodo del a\u00f1o 2020, se registraron 12 muertes y 168 personas salieron lesionadas, seg\u00fan el comparativo del comportamiento de la siniestralidad en el municipio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El jefe de la cartera, explic\u00f3 que las positivas cifras obedecen a una <strong>meta que se ha propuesto la administraci\u00f3n municipal de reducir el n\u00famero de v\u00edctimas mortales<\/strong> por accidentes de tr\u00e1nsito, enmarcado en un trabajo de educaci\u00f3n vial, se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n y aumento de controles en diferentes zonas de la capital huilense. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El funcionario adem\u00e1s indic\u00f3 que e<strong>l aumento en los operativos ha funcionado<\/strong> como una manera de <strong>evitar que muchas personas se abstengan de cometer infracciones <\/strong>y esto se ve reflejado en los datos de siniestralidad vial. \u201cPara nosotros esto es muy positivo porque nos hemos puesto una meta del 18 al 20% en reducci\u00f3n en este cuatrienio y este primer a\u00f1o, siendo coherente con el tema de la pandemia, el confinamiento, es importante esta disminuci\u00f3n\u201d, a\u00f1adi\u00f3.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As\u00ed mismo, insisti\u00f3 en que <strong>lo m\u00e1s importante es que la ciudadan\u00eda neivana aprenda a respetar las normas de tr\u00e1nsito y la autoridad, <\/strong>es por ello que los controles est\u00e1n acompa\u00f1ados de educaci\u00f3n, para que sea un trabajo integral de prevenci\u00f3n y vigilancia del cumplimiento de la ley.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Los diferentes controles que se vienen adelantando en la ciudad y la pedagog\u00eda que se realiza a los conductores para que respeten las normas de tr\u00e1nsito, ha permitido que haya una importante disminuci\u00f3n en los siniestros viales.
