Ghebreyesus, despu\u00e9s de que este jueves se reuniera el comit\u00e9 de emergencia del organismo para analizar la actual situaci\u00f3n de la pandemia, que en m\u00e1s de tres a\u00f1os ha afectado al menos a 765 millones de personas y ha causado la muerte de unos 20 millones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abEs un momento de celebraci\u00f3n, logrado tras el incasable trabajo de millones de sanitarios, de mucha innovaci\u00f3n e investigaci\u00f3n, de dif\u00edciles decisiones tomadas por los gobiernos y de sacrificios que todos hemos tenido que hacer\u00bb, destac\u00f3 Tedros al hacer balance de 1.221 d\u00edas bajo emergencia sanitaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abTambi\u00e9n es un momento para la reflexi\u00f3n, pues las cicatrices que nos han quedado deben servir de permanente recuerdo sobre el riesgo de que nuevos virus emerjan con devastadoras consecuencias\u00bb, a\u00f1adi\u00f3 el experto et\u00edope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tedros tambi\u00e9n advirti\u00f3 que el levantamiento de la emergencia internacional \u00abno significa que la covid haya dejado de ser una amenaza\u00bb, recordando que todav\u00eda causa una muerte en el mundo cada tres minutos mientras \u00abmiles de personas en el mundo siguen luchando por su vida en unidades de cuidados intensivos\u00bb y otras sufren los s\u00edntomas postcovid.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La decisi\u00f3n fue
