Tras realizarse el proceso de elecci\u00f3n en el que participaron diferentes actores, fue conformado el Consejo de la Cuenca del r\u00edo Guarapas, instancia consultiva y representativa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSe conform\u00f3 el Consejo del POMCA del r\u00edo Guarapas, \u00e1rea hidrogr\u00e1fica ordenada desde el 2019 luego de un proceso de formulaci\u00f3n, diagn\u00f3stico de apresamiento, prospectivas y en proceso de ejecuci\u00f3n; todo pensando en la planeaci\u00f3n que debe tener esta \u00e1rea como el uso coordinado con el uso de suelo en los municipios de Pitalito y Palestina\u201d, indic\u00f3 Carlos Andr\u00e9s Gonz\u00e1lez, director Territorial Sur de la CAM.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El directivo de la corporaci\u00f3n ambiental a\u00f1adi\u00f3 que el proceso busca un equilibrio que redunde en la conservaci\u00f3n y el aprovechamiento social y econ\u00f3mico en ese territorio biodiverso.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c<\/em>Este POMCA es diferencial porque tiene la parte de gesti\u00f3n del riesgo bien marcada, as\u00ed como los retos que debemos afrontar a trav\u00e9s del cambio clim\u00e1tico\u201d enfatiz\u00f3 Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La elecci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El proceso de elecci\u00f3n se realiz\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s de convocatoria p\u00fablica que cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de  comunidades ind\u00edgenas, tradicionalmente, asentadas en la cuenca. Con representaci\u00f3n de la autoridad pol\u00edtica qued\u00f3 Jhon Fredy Quinayas Inchima del resguardo ind\u00edgena Rumiyako; del  Resguardo ind\u00edgena el Rosal, la autoridad ambiental Luz Adela P\u00e9rez Sambon\u00ed; del Resguardo ind\u00edgena Intillagta Gloria Stella Males y del Cabildo Ind\u00edgena Yacuas-Yanacona, la autoridad ambiental Delf\u00edn Imbachi Sambon\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por las organizaciones que agremian los sectores productivos representando la asociaci\u00f3n agropecuaria Holanda, el presidente Reinaldo Vargas Su\u00e1rez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entre tanto, por las Organizaciones no gubernamentales cuyo objeto exclusivo es la protecci\u00f3n del medio ambiente y los recursos naturales renovables la fundaci\u00f3n Cerca Viva, Turismo Cultura y Conservaci\u00f3n eligi\u00f3 a Joaqu\u00edn Ruiz Ru\u00edz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por las instituciones de Educaci\u00f3n Superior fue escogida Nelly Mar\u00eda M\u00e9ndez Pedroza de la Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia UNAD; por los municipios con jurisdicci\u00f3n en la cuenca que conformar\u00e1n el consejo est\u00e1n Pitalito con Dianny Marcela Albornoz Bonilla de Jefe de Oficina de Ambiente y Gesti\u00f3n del Riesgo y por Palestina el alcalde Wilson Jes\u00fas Castillo Ortiz. Tambi\u00e9n qued\u00f3 la representaci\u00f3n de la Gobernaci\u00f3n del Huila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Y por los dem\u00e1s actores que viven y desarrollan actividades en la cuenca fue elegido el Comandante Gilberto Rojas S\u00e1nchez del Cuerpo de Bomberos Voluntarios de Pitalito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trece consejeros<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como resultado de la jornada, qued\u00f3 conformado el Consejo con un total de 13 consejeros de la cuenca del r\u00edo Guarapas para un periodo de cuatros a\u00f1os (2023- 2027).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
