Desde hace cuatro a\u00f1os, un grupo de habitantes del corregimiento de Vegalarga inici\u00f3 una apuesta por el turismo rural denominado \u2018Sendero Villamil\u2019, una propuesta que hoy, tras a\u00f1os de vaivenes, cuenta con 19 socios que, a trav\u00e9s del muralismo para incentivar el valor cultural de la vida y obras del maestro Jorge Villamil Cordovez.<\/p>\n

La jornada liderada por la Alcald\u00eda de Neiva a trav\u00e9s de la Secretar\u00eda de Paz y Derechos Humanos y la Secretar\u00eda de Competitividad, fue acompa\u00f1ada por delegados del Viceministerio del Turismo y la Agencia para la Reincorporaci\u00f3n y la Normalizaci\u00f3n, ARN, con el objetivo de conocer m\u00e1s a fondo dicha iniciativa y buscar alternativas para fortalecerla.<\/p>\n

\u201cEstamos haciendo esta ruta especial con las personas que han tenido esta iniciativa de a\u00f1os atr\u00e1s, aquellas que integran la Asociaci\u00f3n C\u00edvica de Turismo Rural del oriente de Neiva, Asociturn, desde la Alcald\u00eda vamos a fortalecerla porque consideramos que es un proyecto que no solamente genera ingresos en la regi\u00f3n, sino tambi\u00e9n porque es un modelo piloto para la construcci\u00f3n de paz en esta regi\u00f3n que ha venido sufriendo tanto por el flagelo de la violencia en el marco del conflicto armado\u201d, indic\u00f3 Jorge Lozano Mestre, secretario de Paz y Derechos Humanos.<\/p>\n

Por su parte, Edwin Valencia, secretario de Competitividad, destac\u00f3: \u201cHicimos un recorrido para ver cu\u00e1les son esas necesidades puntuales y c\u00f3mo nosotros podemos potencializar este diamante en bruto que tenemos como turismo en Neiva, vamos a mostrarle a los neivanos qu\u00e9 tenemos, y luego vamos a mostrarle al pa\u00eds. Aqu\u00ed solamente hay personas que est\u00e1n, con su propio esfuerzo, ayudando a mostrar a Neiva como destino tur\u00edstico con todas sus maravillas\u201d.<\/p>\n

Vegalarga, territorio de paz<\/strong><\/p>\n

El \u2018Sendero Villamil\u2019 como proyecto tur\u00edstico inicia en la vereda Platanillal y finaliza en la vereda el Cedral, lugar donde naci\u00f3 Jorge Villamil. Cada finca tiene una estaci\u00f3n alusiva a la m\u00fasica de Villamil Cordovez, representada en una canci\u00f3n del maestro huilense. Durante el recorrido de los 40 murales, se puede observar una galer\u00eda de arte a ras de suelo que integra adem\u00e1s, estaciones tem\u00e1ticas que entregan experiencias de agroturismo \u00fanicas.<\/p>\n

\u201cEl objetivo fue determinar c\u00f3mo podemos trabajar desde el territorio en turismo, cultura y paz. Vegalarga ha sido estigmatizada, nosotros, un grupo de campesinos, le estamos apostando a que sea reconocido culturalmente como territorio de paz, es por eso que le estamos invitando a que nos visiten\u201d, Nuby Carvajal Olaya, presidenta de Asociturn.<\/p>\n

Por su parte, Bercelio Lozada, quien hace parte de la estaci\u00f3n \u2018Los ocasos\u2019, tambi\u00e9n llamada \u2018El parador del ciclista\u2019, resalt\u00f3 \u201cnos complace la presencia de las personas que nos est\u00e1n acompa\u00f1ando aqu\u00ed. El abandono de los gobiernos es la problem\u00e1tica, sumando a la pavimentaci\u00f3n de v\u00edas, si el gobierno quiere que el campesino siga en el campo, tiene que pensar en el arreglo de las v\u00edas. La invitaci\u00f3n es que nos sigan visitando, el orden p\u00fablico es muy sano y se ha visto progreso\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u2018Colombia destinos de paz\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Desde el Gobierno Nacional se ha impulsado el sello \u2018Colombia destinos de paz\u2019, una estrategia que se encamina a la construcci\u00f3n de la cultura de paz e impulsar, con ello, las econom\u00edas de las regiones.<\/p>\n

\u201cTenemos nuestro plan sectorial de turismo que se llama \u2018Turismo en armon\u00eda con la vida\u2019, y es en donde estamos empezando a fortalecer toda la cadena de valor del turismo. El objetivo es comenzar a articular el desarrollo de turismo rural, fortaleciendo todas estas asociaciones con el sello \u2018Colombia destino de paz\u2019, con el que buscamos fortalecer y buscar a romper esas barreras frente a estos municipios o zonas afectadas por el conflicto armado\u201d, expuso Jos\u00e9 Zaid \u00c1vila L\u00f3pez, gestor del \u2018Corredor central dos Huila-Tolima\u2019 del Viceministerio del Turismo.<\/p>\n

\u201cDe manera articulada con otras agencias, queremos impulsar el apoyo y el acompa\u00f1amiento para el fortalecimiento de estas iniciativas.
