Sobre las 7:00 a.m. los asistentes al festejo del cumplea\u00f1os de la ciudad arribaron al Templo Colonial de Neiva, donde se dio inicio a la eucarist\u00eda en conmemoraci\u00f3n de los 412 a\u00f1os de fundaci\u00f3n de la capital del r\u00edo Magdalena.<\/p>\n

Una vez finalizada la celebraci\u00f3n religiosa la comunidad se desplaz\u00f3 hasta el Parque Santander donde a las 8:00 a.m. en el Busto del fundador de Neiva, se realiz\u00f3 la ofrenda floral y la condecoraci\u00f3n Diego de Ospina y Medinilla, condecoraci\u00f3n Cacica Gaitana y condecoraci\u00f3n Escudo de Neiva.<\/p>\n

\u201cEn esta fecha tan especial 24 de mayo en donde hoy Neiva est\u00e1 de fiesta, est\u00e1 de cumplea\u00f1os y son 412 a\u00f1os, en donde empezamos este hermoso d\u00eda dando gracias a Dios, encomend\u00e1ndonos, para que cada una de nuestras decisiones sean guiadas por Dios\u201d, expres\u00f3 Germ\u00e1n Casagua, Alcalde de Neiva.<\/p>\n

Es de precisar que mientras se realizaba el acto de la ofrenda floral, en el Recinto Ferial, comenz\u00f3 el desfile C\u00edvico y Folcl\u00f3rico \u2018Neiva Te Ama\u2019, el cual se desplaz\u00f3 por la carrera Cuarta y finaliz\u00f3 en la Catedral de la Inmaculada Concepci\u00f3n, all\u00ed la alegr\u00eda y el sentido de pertenencia por la ciudad se vio reflejado en todos los neivanos, quienes acompa\u00f1ados de sus familiares y amigos disfrutaron de esta celebraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

En el desfile participaron un total de diez colegios que con sus bandas marciales, hicieron presencia en el lugar interpretando diversos temas, asimismo, la Polic\u00eda Nacional y el Ej\u00e9rcito Nacional tambi\u00e9n hicieron parte en esta gran actividad de festejo, generando m\u00fasica, alegr\u00eda y patriotismo.<\/p>\n
