Desde la parte inferior del puente del intercambiador de la Carrera 16, el alcalde Gorky Mu\u00f1oz junto con la gerente de Las Ceibas Empresas P\u00fablicas de Neiva, Gloria Constanza Vanegas, se dirigieron a los neivanos para socializar las labores que desde hace un mes, se vienen adelantando en la Avenida La Toma<\/strong>, y que buscan no s\u00f3lo mejorar la cara de este sector, o convertirlo en un atractivo tur\u00edstico y en un \u00edcono cultural para la ciudad, sino adem\u00e1s demostrar que se pueden hacer obras sin inversi\u00f3n de recursos, \u00fanicamente con la gesti\u00f3n, la solidaridad, y el aprovechamiento de los recursos humanos y t\u00e9cnicos con los que se cuenta. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El mandatario destac\u00f3 que las labores de limpieza, cambio de losetas, y adoquines, la construcci\u00f3n de paredes de contenci\u00f3n que faltaban, de placas, de senderos peatonales, labores de ornato<\/strong>, y siembra de especies que se han desarrollado sobre la Avenida La Toma, van de la mano de una apuesta de ciudad, y es la de recuperar los cuerpos de agua y embellecer la ciudad para generar sentido de pertenencia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNosotros hemos comenzado desde principio de a\u00f1o a recuperar sitios como R\u00edo del Oro que tiene trece vertederos y que ya estamos recuper\u00e1ndolo, como La quebraza La Torcaza que desemboca tambi\u00e9n a R\u00edo del Oro, vamos a recuperar sus riberas as\u00ed como estamos recuperando La Toma. Esos son pasos que tenemos que ir dando poco a poco\u00bb, destac\u00f3 el mandatario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atracci\u00f3n tur\u00edstica<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El alcalde Gorky Mu\u00f1oz sostuvo que se busca convertir a la Avenida La Toma en un \u00edcono que genere atracci\u00f3n tur\u00edstica para la ciudad.<\/strong> \u201cEs por eso que estamos convirtiendo a este lugar en una verdadera obra de arte. Vamos a elaborar en estas paredes de la canalizaci\u00f3n, el mural m\u00e1s grande de Colombia. Son 2.5 kil\u00f3metros en cada sentido,<\/strong> es decir, 5 kil\u00f3metros en total, que van a ser pintadas por artistas de talla internacional, nacional y por artistas locales, que hemos convocado a participar. Con ello vamos a convertir a La Toma en un verdadero \u00edcono de ciudad y un importante atractivo para la regi\u00f3n\u201d, dijo el mandatario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trabajo mancomunado <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resalt\u00f3 el mandatario que en esta tarea se ha contado con el apoyo de la ciudadan\u00eda, de los empresarios, de los ferreteros, y de cada una de las personas que de una u otra manera han querido con el coraz\u00f3n aportar pintura, material <\/strong>y todo lo que se requiere para restaurar La Toma y dejarla como un \u00edcono de turismo para Neiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De igual manera destac\u00f3 la labor eficiente que viene desarrollando la empresa de servicios p\u00fablicos en esta iniciativa. \u201cEsto es un ejemplo de que con trabajo mancomunado podemos lograr grandes cosas. Un proyecto en el que Las Ceibas, en cabeza de su gerente Gloria Constanza Vanegas, quien ha estado aqu\u00ed de d\u00eda y de noche todos los d\u00edas, le ha puesto el alma y el coraz\u00f3n para terminarlo en un mes como lo tenemos proyectado.
