Con el prop\u00f3sito que los grupos de monitoreo comunitario del Huila adquieran las destrezas sobre el manejo de la fauna silvestre<\/strong> que pueden encontrar en el desarrollo de sus labores de seguimiento y conservaci\u00f3n de la biodiversidad, bi\u00f3logos y m\u00e9dicos veterinarios de la Corporaci\u00f3n Aut\u00f3noma Regional del Alto Magdalena- CAM vienen\u00a0capacitando a estos grupos en la atenci\u00f3n primaria<\/strong> sobre este tipo de espec\u00edmenes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En estas jornadas te\u00f3rico pr\u00e1cticas, los grupos H\u00e1bitat Sostenible del municipio de Algeciras, Mol\u00e9cula Verde de Rivera y APSH de la localidad de Santa Mar\u00eda<\/strong>, llegaron hasta el Hogar de Paso de Fauna Silvestre de la CAM en Neiva, donde se reciben y atienden los espec\u00edmenes de la vida silvestre que requieren valoraci\u00f3n, atenci\u00f3n y cuidados hasta su reintroducci\u00f3n al medio natural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La fauna recepcionada por la CAM proviene de rescates, decomisos, o entregas voluntarias y es atendido por profesionales id\u00f3neos para su rehabilitaci\u00f3n y cuidado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEn esta jornada los grupos de monitoreo participantes aprendieron aspectos de la bioecolog\u00eda de las especies silvestres m\u00e1s comunes en sus municipios<\/strong>; as\u00ed mismo a identificar estados de desarrollo de la fauna, necesidad de intervenci\u00f3n, t\u00e9cnicas de manipulaci\u00f3n y acciones para la atenci\u00f3n primaria y recepci\u00f3n de espec\u00edmenes hasta su entrega a profesionales de la CAM\u201d, narr\u00f3 Katherine Arenas, bi\u00f3loga de la CAM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estos conocimientos son de gran importancia para los integrantes de los grupos de monitoreo,<\/strong> pues al estar en sus territorios, han apoyado procesos de rescate y recepci\u00f3n de entregas voluntarias de fauna silvestre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grupos de monitoreo como estrategia de conservaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

En la ejecuci\u00f3n del Plan de Conservaci\u00f3n de especies amenazadas presentes en el departamento del Huila, la CAM ha desarrollado actividades dirigidas a la preservaci\u00f3n de las especies sombrilla y su h\u00e1bitat<\/strong>; especies como el Oso de Anteojos, Danta de Monta\u00f1a, Cocodrilo del Magdalena y el \u00c1guila Real de Monta\u00f1a han sido objetivos de conservaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPor eso venimos generando y fortaleciendo espacios de educaci\u00f3n ambiental y trabajo comunitario <\/strong>con las poblaciones que comparten territorio con este tipo de fauna silvestre\u201d, enfatiz\u00f3 la bi\u00f3loga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se capacitaron grupos de monitoreo de tres municipios. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A partir de estos espacios de educaci\u00f3n ambiental, se identifican personas y comunidades que le apuestan a la protecci\u00f3n de las especies de fauna silvestre amenazada<\/strong> y se conforman los denominados Grupos de Monitoreo Comunitario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un grupo de monitoreo comunitario de la biodiversidad, es un conjunto de personas unidas por la voluntad de conservar los recursos naturales de su entorno, principalmente, las especies de fauna silvestre con las que cohabita. Estos grupos est\u00e1n conformados por habitantes de \u00e1reas estrat\u00e9gicas de conservaci\u00f3n, quienes cuentan con un importante conocimiento emp\u00edrico sobre la biolog\u00eda y ecolog\u00eda de las especies, lo que hace indispensable su participaci\u00f3n en los procesos de monitoreo y conservaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En el departamento del Huila la CAM inici\u00f3 el proceso de monitoreo comunitario en el a\u00f1o 2012, y desde entonces se han consolidado con 17 Grupos de Monitoreo Comunitarios, Conformados por un total de 258 integrantes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
