Este logro hist\u00f3rico representa una disminuci\u00f3n de 44.261 hect\u00e1reas (ha) de bosque talado, pues mientras en 2022 la deforestaci\u00f3n fue de 123.517 ha, el a\u00f1o pasado fue de 79.256 ha,\u00a0 una superficie equivalente a casi tres veces el tama\u00f1o de la ciudad de Bucaramanga.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>La ministra de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible, Susana Muhamad, destac\u00f3 la importancia de este logro: \u201cEs la cifra m\u00e1s baja producida desde que tenemos serie hist\u00f3rica en el pa\u00eds desde el a\u00f1o 2000. Es, por primera vez, una cifra que se reduce sustancialmente y por debajo de las 100.000 hect\u00e1reas. Es un a\u00f1o realmente ic\u00f3nico en esta lucha contra la deforestaci\u00f3n\u201d.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>El Plan Nacional de Desarrollo 2022 \u2013 2026 \u2018Colombia Potencia Mundial de la Vida\u2019 estableci\u00f3 una meta de reducci\u00f3n de la deforestaci\u00f3n de, al menos, 20% en comparaci\u00f3n con 2021. Con los resultados obtenidos el a\u00f1o pasado, el Gobierno super\u00f3 esta meta, logrando m\u00e1s del 54% de reducci\u00f3n acumulada entre 2021 y 2023.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>La ministra Muhamad subray\u00f3: \u201cEstamos cumpliendo y sobrepasando la meta. Hemos identificado que hay una asociaci\u00f3n directa entre la paz y el resultado de la deforestaci\u00f3n, condiciones de paz generan reducci\u00f3n. Tenemos en el a\u00f1o 2023 la cifra m\u00e1s baja de deforestaci\u00f3n en los \u00faltimos 23 a\u00f1os y hay dos factores fundamentales que tienen que ver con este resultado: avances en t\u00e9rminos de proceso de paz y el fortalecimiento de los acuerdos de conservaci\u00f3n (Conservar Paga), especialmente en el Arco Amaz\u00f3nico\u201d.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>El presidente Gustavo Petro en su cuenta de X manifest\u00f3 que \u201cSe reduce la deforestaci\u00f3n en un 38% en la Amazon\u00eda colombiana. Es la cifra de menor deforestaci\u00f3n en 23 a\u00f1os.
