Con 83 votos a favor y 27 en contra, la C\u00e1mara de Representantes de Colombia aprob\u00f3 una proposici\u00f3n presentada por Andr\u00e9s Forero, del Centro Democr\u00e1tico, que invita al presidente Gustavo Petro a reconocer a Edmundo Gonz\u00e1lez como presidente electo de Venezuela. Adem\u00e1s, la C\u00e1mara conden\u00f3 las violaciones de derechos humanos cometidas por el r\u00e9gimen de Nicol\u00e1s Maduro tras las elecciones del 28 de julio.<\/p>\n

La proposici\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n rechaza lo que los congresistas calificaron como un \u00abfraude notorio\u00bb en los comicios y los actos de violencia posteriores. Asimismo, expresaron su solidaridad con las v\u00edctimas de la represi\u00f3n y alentaron al pueblo venezolano a recuperar su libertad y democracia.<\/p>\n

En el debate, quienes se opusieron a la proposici\u00f3n, como el representante Pedro S\u00faarez Vacca del Pacto Hist\u00f3rico, manifestaron que, aunque rechazan las violaciones de derechos humanos, no consideran apropiado que la C\u00e1mara se pronuncie sobre la elecci\u00f3n de otro pa\u00eds, ya que esto no le compete.<\/p>\n

Gabriel Becerra, tambi\u00e9n del Pacto Hist\u00f3rico, defendi\u00f3 la postura del Gobierno colombiano de promover una salida pol\u00edtica a la crisis venezolana.
