Estas iniciativas se suman a otro acuerdo alcanzado previamente en la cumbre.<\/p>\n<p>Susana Muhamad, ministra de Ambiente, destac\u00f3 el consenso logrado en torno al art\u00edculo 8J, al calificarlo como un momento hist\u00f3rico para las comunidades ind\u00edgenas y afrodescendientes. Entre los acuerdos, se aprob\u00f3 la creaci\u00f3n de un \u00f3rgano subsidiario que otorga a estas comunidades mayor influencia pol\u00edtica y acceso a fondos internacionales para proyectos ambientales.<\/p>\n<p>Camila Paz Romero, representante ind\u00edgena, afirm\u00f3 que este nuevo \u00f3rgano marca un precedente global, reconociendo la necesidad de su participaci\u00f3n activa para cumplir con los objetivos de biodiversidad. Este organismo les permitir\u00e1 tener una voz permanente en el Convenio de Diversidad Biol\u00f3gica (CDB).<\/p>\n<p>Otro acuerdo clave fue el reconocimiento de las comunidades afrodescendientes como guardianes de la biodiversidad, iniciativa impulsada por Colombia y Brasil. Este acuerdo les facilitar\u00e1 recursos y presencia en cumbres internacionales, donde podr\u00e1n exponer y gestionar sus proyectos de conservaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Estos logros van acompa\u00f1ados de un programa de trabajo hasta 2030, aprobado anteriormente en la COP16, que define el compromiso de los gobiernos con los derechos y territorios de estas comunidades.
