Esta medida responde a la urgencia de atender a miles de familias damnificadas, especialmente en el Choc\u00f3, donde las lluvias han ocasionado graves emergencias.<\/p>\n<p>En una declaraci\u00f3n posterior al Puesto de Mando Unificado (PMU), el presidente Gustavo Petro explic\u00f3 que la variabilidad clim\u00e1tica ha aumentado la vulnerabilidad de varios territorios. Indic\u00f3 que se destinar\u00e1n esfuerzos significativos en tres \u00e1reas prioritarias: la Alta Guajira, Choc\u00f3 y la capital, Bogot\u00e1, donde se han registrado altos niveles de afectaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Con el estado de desastre, el gobierno adquiere facultades especiales que le permitir\u00e1n actuar mediante decretos para destinar fondos, organizar recursos y desplegar ayuda de manera inmediata. Estas acciones buscan reducir los impactos negativos en las zonas m\u00e1s cr\u00edticas del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Hasta el momento, se estima que m\u00e1s de 40,000 familias en todo el pa\u00eds han sido afectadas por las lluvias, siendo el departamento del Choc\u00f3 el m\u00e1s perjudicado. En esta regi\u00f3n, m\u00e1s del 70% del territorio est\u00e1 en emergencia, y miles de personas necesitan asistencia urgente.<\/p>\n<p>El Gobierno prev\u00e9 que el presidente firme el decreto en las pr\u00f3ximas horas, confirmando las medidas de emergencia y el presupuesto destinado, que podr\u00eda superar los 700,000 millones de pesos.
