Este aumento coloca al turismo como el segundo generador de ingresos del pa\u00eds, superando las exportaciones de carb\u00f3n y consolid\u00e1ndose como una herramienta clave en la transici\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica.<\/p>\n<p>Durante su intervenci\u00f3n en la sesi\u00f3n 122 del Consejo Ejecutivo de la ONU Turismo, el mandatario destac\u00f3 que este avance refleja el potencial de Colombia para liderar el turismo sostenible. \u201cEl turismo ha alcanzado niveles hist\u00f3ricos y puede incluso superar al petr\u00f3leo en ingresos de divisas en el futuro cercano\u201d, asegur\u00f3 Petro.<\/p>\n<p>Las regiones inexploradas del litoral Pac\u00edfico y la Amazon\u00eda fueron se\u00f1aladas como los nuevos focos del turismo internacional. Petro anunci\u00f3 que estas zonas cuentan con pistas aeroportuarias mejoradas, facilitando el acceso para visitantes de todo el mundo. Adem\u00e1s, resalt\u00f3 la biodiversidad y la riqueza cultural como los principales atractivos de estas \u00e1reas.<\/p>\n<p>El presidente tambi\u00e9n enfatiz\u00f3 la necesidad de descarbonizar el turismo para alinearlo con las metas de sostenibilidad. Esto incluye fomentar un turismo respetuoso con el medio ambiente y las comunidades locales, e impulsar proyectos innovadores que reduzcan el impacto ambiental del sector.<\/p>\n<p>Para garantizar el crecimiento sostenido del turismo, Petro pidi\u00f3 a las instituciones financieras apoyar al sector con cr\u00e9ditos accesibles.
