Actualmente, en el Congreso avanza un proyecto de ley liderado por los senadores Fabi\u00e1n D\u00edaz (Alianza Verde) y \u00c1lex Fl\u00f3rez (Pacto Hist\u00f3rico), que busca establecer una distancia m\u00ednima de 150 kil\u00f3metros entre peajes y regular los aumentos tarifarios realizados por las concesiones viales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El senador D\u00edaz argumenta que el desarrollo de la infraestructura vial no puede depender exclusivamente de la instalaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s peajes. La propuesta legislativa no ser\u00e1 retroactiva, pero impactar\u00e1 futuros contratos y renovaciones de concesiones, exigiendo el cumplimiento de las nuevas normativas. Seg\u00fan D\u00edaz, muchas concesiones dividen tramos en secciones peque\u00f1as para instalar m\u00e1s casetas, sin considerar el impacto en los usuarios ni el desarrollo vial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto enfrenta fuertes obst\u00e1culos en el Congreso, donde D\u00edaz denuncia que intereses de algunos legisladores han llevado a que iniciativas similares se hundan en cinco ocasiones anteriores por falta de debate. El senador asegura que, al igual que ocurre con el proyecto de regulaci\u00f3n de salarios, algunos congresistas evitan que se discuta para no exponer su posici\u00f3n ante la opini\u00f3n p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Colombia es el pa\u00eds con m\u00e1s peajes en Am\u00e9rica Latina, con 180 casetas instaladas, seguido por Brasil (120) y M\u00e9xico (87). Esto, seg\u00fan D\u00edaz, evidencia la urgencia de replantear el modelo actual. La propuesta tambi\u00e9n busca evitar que los aumentos tarifarios contin\u00faen afectando a los usuarios de manera desproporcionada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En medio de la controversia, el presidente Gustavo Petro atribuy\u00f3 los incrementos al modelo de concesi\u00f3n vial impulsado en gobiernos anteriores, al que calific\u00f3 como un \u201cerror uribista\/vargasllerista\u201d por haber privatizado las carreteras.
