Actualmente, los congresistas devengan m\u00e1s de 48 millones de pesos mensuales, una cifra que este proyecto busca ajustar para fomentar la transparencia y la equidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La iniciativa, respaldada por <strong>57 congresistas<\/strong>, cuenta con el apoyo de figuras como Humberto De La Calle, Mauricio G\u00f3mez Am\u00edn y Esmeralda Hern\u00e1ndez, entre otros. Seg\u00fan Cepeda, el respaldo refleja un buen inicio para el tr\u00e1mite del proyecto, que necesita superar ocho debates en el Congreso antes de convertirse en ley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De aprobarse, el art\u00edculo 187 de la Constituci\u00f3n se modificar\u00e1 para limitar la remuneraci\u00f3n mensual de los congresistas a <strong>20 salarios m\u00ednimos<\/strong>, con ajustes anuales acordes al incremento del salario m\u00ednimo. Sin embargo, el proyecto especifica que este cambio no influir\u00e1 en el r\u00e9gimen salarial de otros funcionarios p\u00fablicos, cuyo monto continuar\u00e1 determinado por lo devengado por el Presidente de la Rep\u00fablica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cepeda subray\u00f3 que esta reforma busca dignificar la pol\u00edtica y restaurar la confianza en el Congreso, una instituci\u00f3n frecuentemente cuestionada. \u201cEl Congreso necesita transformar su imagen. Reducir las prebendas es un paso hacia una pol\u00edtica m\u00e1s limpia y cercana a los ciudadanos\u201d, afirm\u00f3 el senador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto comenzar\u00e1 su discusi\u00f3n cuando se reanuden las sesiones ordinarias del Congreso.
