El director de Cormagdalena, Pedro Pablo Jurado, visit\u00f3 el municipio de San Agust\u00edn en compa\u00f1\u00eda del Gobernador del Huila, Luis Enrique Duss\u00e1n, con el fin de firmar un memorando de entendimiento <\/strong>entre las entidades, para garantizar el cuidado del m\u00e1s importante afluente de Colombia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al acto especial realizado en el estrecho del r\u00edo Magdalena, asistieron alcaldes, autoridades locales, el Director de la CAM, Camilo Agudelo y comunidad en general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lo que se busca con este memorando de entendimiento es darle la importancia al r\u00edo Magdalena desde su nacimiento y todo su paso por el departamento del Huila<\/strong>, para desarrollar proyectos de conservaci\u00f3n ambiental, turismo y desarrollo econ\u00f3mico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pedro Pablo Jurado, director de Cormagdalena, se refiri\u00f3 al trabajo articulado que se viene ejecutando con varios actores del departamento<\/strong>: \u201cUn reconocimiento a una importante labor que hoy el gobernador del Huila, Luis Enrique Duss\u00e1n, viene implementando para preservar el Rio grande de la Magdalena, por hacerlo con rigor t\u00e9cnico, generar inclusi\u00f3n social y pensar en biodiversidad. El com\u00fan denominador siempre ser\u00e1 la preservaci\u00f3n del agua\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dentro del memorando se busca adem\u00e1s el involucramiento de las comunidades y actores, desarrollar e implementar pol\u00edticas y estrategias <\/strong>sostenibles sobre una gesti\u00f3n integral del recurso h\u00eddrico (gesti\u00f3n de inundaciones, abastecimiento y saneamiento del agua), implementar mecanismos orientados a reducir los efectos del cambio clim\u00e1tico y generar procesos productivos sostenibles que reconozcan el valor del R\u00edo Magdalena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cComplacido de acompa\u00f1ar al director de Cormagdalena en su junta directiva y de empezar a desarrollar una tarea de proyectos que van a ser muy importantes para el departamento del Huila. Vamos a tener una mesa t\u00e9cnica reunida cada 15 d\u00edas durante 6 meses. Hemos tratado proyectos sobre aguas residuales, tema tur\u00edstico , ambiental y forestal junto con los alcaldes que tienen iniciativas que encajan en este trabajo mancomunado.
