Actualmente, 595 municipios presentan condiciones propicias para la propagaci\u00f3n de esta enfermedad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante lo corrido de 2024, el sistema de vigilancia epidemiol\u00f3gica ha confirmado 947 casos cr\u00f3nicos y 18 casos agudos de Chagas en Colombia, entre ellos una muerte. La poblaci\u00f3n ind\u00edgena ha sido la m\u00e1s afectada por esta enfermedad, que puede pasar desapercibida en su fase inicial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s del vector, el Chagas tambi\u00e9n puede transmitirse por v\u00eda oral (a trav\u00e9s de alimentos contaminados), por transfusiones de sangre no seguras o de madre a hijo durante el embarazo, lo que incrementa el riesgo de contagio en zonas vulnerables del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para enfrentar esta problem\u00e1tica, las autoridades sanitarias avanzan en la implementaci\u00f3n de la Ruta Integral de Atenci\u00f3n en Salud para Chagas (RIAS), que permite diagnosticar y tratar la enfermedad desde el primer nivel de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los s\u00edntomas del Chagas var\u00edan seg\u00fan la fase. En la etapa aguda suelen ser leves o inexistentes, aunque puede presentarse fiebre, fatiga, dolor corporal o hinchaz\u00f3n en los p\u00e1rpados.
