Su trayectoria se ha centrado en la defensa de los derechos humanos, la igualdad de oportunidades y la protecci\u00f3n de poblaciones vulnerables, especialmente comunidades migrantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con una destacada carrera pol\u00edtica en Espa\u00f1a, fue diputada de la Asamblea de Madrid, convirti\u00e9ndose en la primera mujer latinoamericana en ocupar un esca\u00f1o en esa instituci\u00f3n. All\u00ed tuvo un papel activo en comisiones relacionadas con educaci\u00f3n, inmigraci\u00f3n y derechos de la mujer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antes de su nombramiento, lider\u00f3 el grupo &#8216;Colombia Nos Une&#8217; en la Canciller\u00eda, donde promovi\u00f3 iniciativas clave para las comunidades migrantes.
