El cultivo ofrece buenos m\u00e1rgenes y tiene un mercado seguro, tanto local como internacional. Actualmente, el bulto de 50 kilos de almid\u00f3n se comercializa entre $600.000 y $700.000, lo que permite recuperar la inversi\u00f3n en la primera cosecha. La experiencia de productores como Hamilton impulsa la expansi\u00f3n de este cultivo en municipios como El Pital, Gigante, Tarqui y San Agust\u00edn, donde a\u00fan no se cubre toda la demanda.
