La esposa del expresidente Julio C\u00e9sar Turbay (1978-1982) falleci\u00f3 en Bogot\u00e1 a los 93 a\u00f1os y su cuerpo fue recibido en el Sal\u00f3n El\u00edptico del Congreso con honores institucionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante la ceremonia de llegada, son\u00f3 el himno de la Fundaci\u00f3n Solidaridad por Colombia, organizaci\u00f3n que Quintero fund\u00f3 en los a\u00f1os 70 para promover la educaci\u00f3n desde la primera infancia y apoyar a adultos mayores y familias vulnerables. Al homenaje asistieron familiares, entre ellos su hijo Julio C\u00e9sar Turbay Quintero, quien destac\u00f3 su vida dedicada al servicio social y al pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monse\u00f1or Fadi Bou Chebl, de la comunidad cat\u00f3lica maronita, dirigi\u00f3 una oraci\u00f3n por el descanso de la ex primera dama. Su hijo record\u00f3 que, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del dolor por su partida, debe celebrarse una vida de entrega, amor y solidaridad, que dej\u00f3 una huella profunda en Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quintero hab\u00eda sido hospitalizada el viernes anterior en la Fundaci\u00f3n Santa Fe por complicaciones respiratorias. Su fallecimiento se produce mientras su nieto, el senador Miguel Uribe Turbay, permanece internado en estado cr\u00edtico tras un atentado ocurrido el 7 de junio en Bogot\u00e1 durante un acto de campa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Congreso luce la bandera a media asta en se\u00f1al de duelo por \u201cDo\u00f1a Nydia\u201d, como era conocida afectuosamente.
