La Asamblea del Huila sirvi\u00f3 de escenario para un fuerte llamado en defensa del sector arrocero, considerado pilar econ\u00f3mico y de seguridad alimentaria en la regi\u00f3n. Durante la sesi\u00f3n ordinaria, diputados, gremios y productores advirtieron que la crisis que atraviesan los arroceros amenaza la estabilidad de m\u00e1s de 16.000 familias. El presidente de la Asamblea, Sergio Trujillo, resalt\u00f3 que mientras producir una tonelada cuesta m\u00e1s de 2.300.000 pesos, el mercado solo paga 1.800.000, generando p\u00e9rdidas permanentes para los agricultores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entre las medidas urgentes que la Asamblea pidi\u00f3 al Gobierno Nacional est\u00e1n la fijaci\u00f3n de un precio de sustentaci\u00f3n, control al contrabando, compra estatal de cosechas, alivios financieros y el restablecimiento de una pol\u00edtica de almacenamiento. Elkin Flores, de la Federaci\u00f3n Nacional de Arroceros, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que la eliminaci\u00f3n del incentivo al almacenamiento en 2023 fue un error que desestabiliz\u00f3 el mercado, agravando la crisis actual. Adem\u00e1s, se mencion\u00f3 el lento avance del Molino de Azojuncal, que podr\u00eda fortalecer el control de la producci\u00f3n en el Huila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El diputado Armando Acu\u00f1a lament\u00f3 la indiferencia estatal ante una crisis que lleva m\u00e1s de una d\u00e9cada, advirtiendo que el arroz es el tercer rengl\u00f3n econ\u00f3mico del Huila, con m\u00e1s de 5.000 empleos directos y 1.3 millones de jornales en riesgo. Critic\u00f3 la permisividad con el ingreso de arroz extranjero, incluso de contrabando, que golpea al agricultor mientras el consumidor paga precios altos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por su parte, Daniel Francisco Godoy, productor arrocero, describi\u00f3 un panorama desolador con p\u00e9rdidas por hect\u00e1rea de hasta 2.400.000 pesos y un mercado sin regulaci\u00f3n. Alert\u00f3 que municipios como Campoalegre, Tesalia y Garz\u00f3n podr\u00edan enfrentar el colapso econ\u00f3mico si no se toman medidas urgentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finalmente, el secretario de Gobierno del Huila, Juan Carlos Casallas, reconoci\u00f3 los bloqueos en v\u00edas nacionales liderados por arroceros en protesta. Aunque defendi\u00f3 el di\u00e1logo, insisti\u00f3 en que el Gobierno debe responder con acciones concretas.
