El Gobierno Huila Grande lider\u00f3 una mesa de trabajo con representantes de asociaciones arroceras y distritos de riego para buscar soluciones a la crisis derivada de los bajos precios de compra del arroz paddy verde. La reuni\u00f3n fue convocada por la Secretar\u00eda de Agricultura y Miner\u00eda tras varios d\u00edas de paro arrocero que mantiene bloqueadas varias v\u00edas del departamento. El principal tema discutido fue la necesidad de ajustar la resoluci\u00f3n nacional que define el precio de compra del grano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seg\u00fan explic\u00f3 el secretario de Agricultura y Miner\u00eda encargado, Isauro Trujillo V\u00e1squez, el gobierno departamental plante\u00f3 observaciones al proyecto de resoluci\u00f3n del Ministerio de Agricultura, que propone un precio de $205.000 por tonelada, cifra que no cubre los costos de producci\u00f3n que rondan los $200.000. Por ello, se sugiri\u00f3 que el precio m\u00ednimo sea de $220.000 y que este valor tenga en cuenta un margen de rentabilidad para los productores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otro de los puntos destacados fue la petici\u00f3n para que la resoluci\u00f3n de precios no limite el beneficio a un volumen m\u00e1ximo de 1.400 toneladas, y que los valores sean actualizados con base en el \u00cdndice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC) para evitar que queden congelados. Los arroceros tambi\u00e9n pidieron que el an\u00e1lisis de calidad se refleje en precios diferenciados, ya que actualmente solo se hacen descuentos por humedad o grano partido, sin premiar el arroz de mejor calidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mart\u00edn Vargas, vocero de Dignidad Arrocera del Huila, manifest\u00f3 que estas propuestas ser\u00e1n presentadas formalmente al Gobierno Nacional como objeci\u00f3n al proyecto actual. Insisti\u00f3 en que los arroceros necesitan una rentabilidad m\u00ednima del 10% para garantizar la sostenibilidad de sus cultivos, afectados no solo por los bajos precios sino tambi\u00e9n por el contrabando, los Tratados de Libre Comercio y el incremento de los costos de producci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mientras contin\u00faan las negociaciones, los voceros del paro anunciaron que los bloqueos en las carreteras del Huila se mantendr\u00e1n sin cambios: seis horas de cierre por cada hora de paso vehicular.
