En una sesi\u00f3n especial de seguimiento, la Asamblea Departamental del Huila analiz\u00f3 el estado actual de los proyectos agroindustriales del departamento, con \u00e9nfasis en la planta \u201cConcentrados del Sur\u201d, ubicada en Garz\u00f3n. Esta infraestructura, clave para la cadena pisc\u00edcola del sur del Huila, permanece cerrada desde 2023 tras enfrentar m\u00faltiples dificultades operativas y financieras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La iniciativa del debate fue del diputado Armando Acu\u00f1a, quien resalt\u00f3 la urgencia de contar con estudios t\u00e9cnicos actualizados para tomar decisiones fundamentadas que garanticen la viabilidad de este tipo de proyectos. Durante la sesi\u00f3n se expresaron inquietudes sobre el impacto del cierre de la planta en las comunidades y la necesidad de una intervenci\u00f3n institucional coordinada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por parte del Gobierno Departamental participaron Isauro Trujillo V\u00e1squez, secretario (e) de Agricultura y Miner\u00eda, y Adriana Marcela Valencia Cardona, gerente de INFIHUILA. Ambos entregaron detalles sobre la trayectoria financiera de la planta, construida entre 2010 y 2014 con recursos de Fondeagro y un cr\u00e9dito de $200 millones a\u00fan pendiente de pago. Aunque INFIHUILA no hace parte de la junta directiva de la empresa, se manifest\u00f3 la voluntad de brindar apoyo t\u00e9cnico y jur\u00eddico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La representante legal de la empresa, Paula Andrea Jim\u00e9nez Rivera, advirti\u00f3 que la planta requiere una inversi\u00f3n considerable para su recuperaci\u00f3n, modernizaci\u00f3n o posible traslado. Afirm\u00f3 que la situaci\u00f3n ha generado efectos negativos tanto sociales como econ\u00f3micos, afectando a varias comunidades que depend\u00edan de su operaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Asamblea reiter\u00f3 su respaldo al desarrollo rural y la transformaci\u00f3n productiva del departamento. Se espera que este ejercicio de control pol\u00edtico derive en propuestas concretas que impulsen la reactivaci\u00f3n del sector agroindustrial.
