La sentencia establece que el exmandatario podr\u00e1 cumplir la condena bajo la modalidad de prisi\u00f3n domiciliaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de la pena privativa de la libertad, Uribe deber\u00e1 pagar una multa equivalente a 2.420 salarios m\u00ednimos y qued\u00f3 inhabilitado para ocupar cargos p\u00fablicos por un periodo de ocho a\u00f1os y tres meses. La decisi\u00f3n fue tomada por la juez 44 penal de conocimiento de Bogot\u00e1, Sandra Liliana Heredia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La funcionaria judicial determin\u00f3 que el expresidente, quien gobern\u00f3 el pa\u00eds entre 2002 y 2010, \u201cdetermin\u00f3\u201d a emisarios para manipular testigos en las c\u00e1rceles con el fin de que se retractaran de se\u00f1alamientos que lo vinculaban con grupos paramilitares. Este fallo marca un nuevo cap\u00edtulo en el proceso judicial que por a\u00f1os ha enfrentado el exmandatario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La defensa de Uribe, encabezada por el abogado Jaime Granados, tendr\u00e1 cinco d\u00edas h\u00e1biles para presentar la apelaci\u00f3n con la que buscar\u00e1 tumbar el fallo de primera instancia. La fecha l\u00edmite para radicar el recurso vence el 11 de agosto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El caso ser\u00e1 trasladado al Tribunal Superior de Bogot\u00e1, que designar\u00e1 un grupo de magistrados, entre ellos Manuel Antonio Merch\u00e1n, para estudiar la segunda instancia.
