La administraci\u00f3n municipal de Neiva logr\u00f3 recuperar la calle 8 entre carreras 2 y 4, un tramo vital del microcentro que llevaba a\u00f1os ocupado por el comercio informal. La v\u00eda ya fue habilitada para el tr\u00e1nsito vehicular y peatonal, como parte de una estrategia para revitalizar el centro urbano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esta recuperaci\u00f3n fue liderada por la Secretar\u00eda de Gobierno, a trav\u00e9s de la Subdirecci\u00f3n de Espacio P\u00fablico, y se llev\u00f3 a cabo el 5 de agosto en una intervenci\u00f3n pac\u00edfica, acompa\u00f1ada por la Polic\u00eda Nacional y el Ej\u00e9rcito. La acci\u00f3n permiti\u00f3 desocupar el \u00e1rea y restablecer su funcionalidad original.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHemos logrado que los ciudadanos puedan transitar nuevamente por esta v\u00eda en sus veh\u00edculos, motos, bicicletas o a pie. Es un avance importante para la movilidad y la seguridad\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Ovidio Serrato, subdirector del \u00e1rea encargada del proceso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante casi ocho a\u00f1os, este tramo estuvo reservado para uso peatonal, pero con el tiempo fue invadido por estructuras improvisadas que imped\u00edan el paso y afectaban la seguridad. La situaci\u00f3n generaba congesti\u00f3n y deterioraba la experiencia urbana de residentes y visitantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Alcald\u00eda destac\u00f3 que el proceso fue bien recibido por los ciudadanos. \u201cLa gente ha entendido la importancia de recuperar estos espacios. Como ha dicho el alcalde, seguimos trabajando con la mejor actitud para devolverle el microcentro a la ciudadan\u00eda\u201d, agreg\u00f3 Serrato.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
