El mandatario encabez\u00f3 en la capital del Amazonas la conmemoraci\u00f3n de los 215 a\u00f1os del Ej\u00e9rcito Nacional y los 206 a\u00f1os de la Batalla de Boyac\u00e1, con la que se sell\u00f3 la Independencia del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Petro asegur\u00f3 que su gobierno no permitir\u00e1 que Colombia ceda m\u00e1s territorio, como ocurri\u00f3 en el mar Caribe con el archipi\u00e9lago de San Andr\u00e9s y Providencia. En ese sentido, destac\u00f3 la importancia de proteger el Amazonas, al que calific\u00f3 como \u201cel coraz\u00f3n de la selva amaz\u00f3nica\u201d y \u201cel pulm\u00f3n del mundo\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antes de su llegada a Leticia, el jefe de Estado denunci\u00f3 que el gobierno de Per\u00fa se ha apropiado de islas emergidas en el r\u00edo Amazonas, incluyendo la isla Santa Rosa, que seg\u00fan el Tratado de R\u00edo de Janeiro pertenece a Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El presidente advirti\u00f3 que esta acci\u00f3n unilateral podr\u00eda poner en riesgo a Leticia como puerto amaz\u00f3nico y afectar su vida comercial.
