El Huila se sum\u00f3 a la construcci\u00f3n de los compromisos que Colombia presentar\u00e1 en la COP30<\/strong>, que se realizar\u00e1 en noviembre en Brasil. En Neiva, representantes sociales, acad\u00e9micos, ambientales y productivos participaron en el taller \u201cNuestros Desaf\u00edos Clim\u00e1ticos\u201d<\/em>, un espacio liderado por el Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible con apoyo del Ministerio de Ambiente Alem\u00e1n, la GIZ y la CAM, para actualizar las Contribuciones Nacionalmente Determinadas (NDC) del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seg\u00fan Michel Hern\u00e1ndez, de la Direcci\u00f3n de Cambio Clim\u00e1tico y Gesti\u00f3n del Riesgo del Ministerio, Colombia actualiza sus compromisos internacionales cada cinco a\u00f1os, en cumplimiento de los Acuerdos de Par\u00eds. La meta es presentar en 2025 la tercera actualizaci\u00f3n de las NDC, para lo cual se est\u00e1n desarrollando talleres en todo el territorio nacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En el Huila, la jornada cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de gremios productivos, reservas naturales, universidades, organismos de socorro, grupos de monitoreo, j\u00f3venes, organizaciones campesinas y entidades del Sistema Nacional Ambiental. Estas propuestas se articular\u00e1n con el proceso de actualizaci\u00f3n del Plan Huila 2050<\/strong>, que busca orientar las acciones de mitigaci\u00f3n y adaptaci\u00f3n frente al cambio clim\u00e1tico en la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los asistentes identificaron problem\u00e1ticas relacionadas con los eventos clim\u00e1ticos extremos que afectan al departamento, desde inundaciones y deslizamientos en temporadas de lluvia hasta sequ\u00edas y escasez de agua en \u00e9poca seca. Para la CAM, estos aportes son clave para fortalecer la preservaci\u00f3n de ecosistemas estrat\u00e9gicos y el capital natural del Huila, as\u00ed como para mejorar las alertas tempranas y la conservaci\u00f3n de sumideros de gases de efecto invernadero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con este ejercicio, el departamento aporta insumos valiosos para el documento final que Colombia llevar\u00e1 a la COP30, adem\u00e1s de reforzar su propia estrategia clim\u00e1tica a largo plazo.
