En caso de que no haya acuerdo entre Gobierno, gremios y sindicatos, la decisi\u00f3n recae en el presidente. Para establecer el aumento se tienen en cuenta factores como la inflaci\u00f3n, la productividad y el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En 2025, el salario m\u00ednimo subi\u00f3 un 9,54% (equivalente a $123.500), quedando en $1.423.500. Este incremento fue decretado por el presidente Gustavo Petro tras la falta de consenso entre sindicatos, que ped\u00edan hasta un 13%, y los gremios, que propon\u00edan un 5%. El ajuste super\u00f3 ampliamente la inflaci\u00f3n de 2024, que se ubic\u00f3 en 5,20%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante la instalaci\u00f3n del Congreso el 20 de julio, Petro confirm\u00f3 que para 2026 se aplicar\u00e1 el mismo criterio: el aumento estar\u00e1 por encima de la inflaci\u00f3n anual. En su discurso defendi\u00f3 esta pol\u00edtica al se\u00f1alar que el objetivo es proteger el poder adquisitivo de los trabajadores y evitar que contin\u00faen siendo v\u00edctimas de explotaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De acuerdo con proyecciones preliminares, la inflaci\u00f3n podr\u00eda cerrar en 4,5% y la productividad en 2,6%, lo que llevar\u00eda a un aumento cercano al 7% para el salario m\u00ednimo del pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o. Esto lo ubicar\u00eda en aproximadamente $1\u2032515.495, cifra que, seg\u00fan el Banco de la Rep\u00fablica, permitir\u00eda mantener el equilibrio frente a la reducci\u00f3n de tasas de inter\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No obstante, el propio presidente dej\u00f3 entrever que podr\u00eda repetir un incremento similar al de 2025, es decir, del 9,54%. De ser as\u00ed, el salario m\u00ednimo en 2026 se fijar\u00eda en $1\u2032559.301.
