La Alcald\u00eda de Neiva reforz\u00f3 la prevenci\u00f3n del dengue y la fiebre amarilla con la jornada D\u00eda D: Todos contra el Dengue<\/strong>, realizada en el Polideportivo Virgilio Barco. La estrategia moviliz\u00f3 a la comunidad con actividades educativas, vacunaci\u00f3n y visitas domiciliarias para eliminar criaderos del zancudo transmisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desde tempranas horas, ni\u00f1os, j\u00f3venes y adultos participaron en talleres y charlas sobre c\u00f3mo evitar la proliferaci\u00f3n del mosquito. Adem\u00e1s, se aplicaron vacunas contra la fiebre amarilla, se adelantaron campa\u00f1as de vacunaci\u00f3n antirr\u00e1bica para mascotas y se hicieron tamizajes de leishmania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La profesional de apoyo de la Secretar\u00eda de Salud, Edna Yasm\u00edn Portes, resalt\u00f3 la importancia de estas iniciativas: \u201cEs una jornada en la que se hace educaci\u00f3n para la prevenci\u00f3n del dengue y la fiebre amarilla. Prevenci\u00f3n especialmente en la eliminaci\u00f3n de criaderos del vector\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La conmemoraci\u00f3n del D\u00eda Internacional de la Lucha contra el Dengue sirvi\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n para recordar que la clave est\u00e1 en la prevenci\u00f3n desde los hogares. Cada recipiente con agua acumulada puede convertirse en un criadero potencial del mosquito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Administraci\u00f3n Municipal reiter\u00f3 que proteger la salud es un esfuerzo colectivo e invit\u00f3 a los neivanos a aplicar medidas simples: lavar, tapar y eliminar cualquier objeto que acumule agua.
