Seg\u00fan dijo, se trata de la \u201cmayor amenaza\u201d vista en el continente en los \u00faltimos cien a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante un encuentro con la prensa internacional en Caracas, el mandatario calific\u00f3 la acci\u00f3n estadounidense como una medida \u201cextravagante, injustificable, inmoral y absolutamente criminal\u201d. Adem\u00e1s, asegur\u00f3 que su gobierno ha declarado la <strong>\u201cm\u00e1xima preparaci\u00f3n para la defensa\u201d<\/strong> del territorio frente a lo que considera una estrategia de presi\u00f3n militar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La tensi\u00f3n creci\u00f3 luego de que Washington aumentara a <strong>50 millones de d\u00f3lares<\/strong> la recompensa por informaci\u00f3n que conduzca a la captura de Maduro, acusado por presuntos v\u00ednculos con el narcotr\u00e1fico. En paralelo, el gobierno de Donald Trump anunci\u00f3 un despliegue naval para combatir a las organizaciones dedicadas al tr\u00e1fico de drogas en el Caribe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cVenezuela jam\u00e1s ceder\u00e1 ante chantajes ni amenazas de ning\u00fan signo\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Maduro, en alusi\u00f3n a las presiones estadounidenses. El presidente insisti\u00f3 en que la soberan\u00eda del pa\u00eds no est\u00e1 en discusi\u00f3n, pese al incremento de la ofensiva diplom\u00e1tica y militar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como parte del operativo, el buque lanzamisiles <strong>USS Lake Erie<\/strong> atraves\u00f3 recientemente el Canal de Panam\u00e1 rumbo al Caribe.
