Del 1 al 7 de septiembre, el Huila conmemora los 30 a\u00f1os de la Corporaci\u00f3n Aut\u00f3noma Regional del Alto Magdalena (CAM) con la Semana Ambiental, una agenda que re\u00fane a instituciones, organizaciones y comunidades alrededor de la protecci\u00f3n de la biodiversidad y los desaf\u00edos clim\u00e1ticos. El evento inici\u00f3 con el foro \u201cBiodiversidad y Clima, Camino a la COP 30\u201d<\/em>, espacio en el que se presentaron los principales logros ambientales alcanzados por el departamento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entre los avances m\u00e1s destacados de estas tres d\u00e9cadas, la CAM resalt\u00f3 la consolidaci\u00f3n del Sistema Departamental de \u00c1reas Protegidas con m\u00e1s de 600 mil hect\u00e1reas bajo conservaci\u00f3n, la recuperaci\u00f3n de especies como el oso andino y la danta de monta\u00f1a, y la restauraci\u00f3n de coberturas boscosas en cuencas estrat\u00e9gicas como la del r\u00edo Las Ceibas. Tambi\u00e9n se subrayaron las hist\u00f3ricas bajas tasas de deforestaci\u00f3n en el departamento y la articulaci\u00f3n con m\u00e1s de 160 organizaciones ambientales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La celebraci\u00f3n incluye una nutrida programaci\u00f3n que contempla el Festival del Oso Andino y la Danta de Monta\u00f1a, el Festival de Aves, encuentros con comunidades, foros sobre cambio clim\u00e1tico y espacios de di\u00e1logo con alcald\u00edas, universidades, entidades ambientales y la sociedad civil. Seg\u00fan el director de la CAM, Camilo Agudelo Perdomo, estos escenarios son claves para reflexionar sobre lo avanzado y proyectar los retos que enfrenta el Huila en materia ambiental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No obstante, la entidad reconoci\u00f3 que persisten grandes desaf\u00edos. El cambio clim\u00e1tico sigue siendo la principal preocupaci\u00f3n, con incendios forestales, inundaciones y deslizamientos que han impactado fuertemente al territorio en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. A esto se suman la deforestaci\u00f3n, la miner\u00eda ilegal, el bajo nivel de reciclaje y el uso ineficiente del agua, problemas que requieren mayores esfuerzos colectivos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finalmente, el foro inaugural destac\u00f3 el papel de las comunidades locales en la conservaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como la necesidad de fortalecer instrumentos financieros para reconocerlas como guardianas del territorio.
