Con esta decisi\u00f3n se pone fin a una pr\u00e1ctica que por d\u00e9cadas gener\u00f3 intensos debates en el pa\u00eds entre la tradici\u00f3n cultural y la defensa de los animales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El presidente <strong>Gustavo Petro<\/strong> celebr\u00f3 el fallo y felicit\u00f3 a los magistrados por su \u201cposici\u00f3n reivindicatoria de la vida en todas sus formas\u201d. El mandatario record\u00f3 que este tema ha hecho parte de su trayectoria pol\u00edtica y que, siendo alcalde de Bogot\u00e1, ya hab\u00eda impulsado la suspensi\u00f3n de los espect\u00e1culos taurinos en la capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Petro resalt\u00f3 que esta lucha no fue individual, sino acompa\u00f1ada por colectivos animalistas y l\u00edderes sociales que llevaron la causa al escenario legislativo. Entre ellos mencion\u00f3 a la senadora <strong>Andrea Padilla<\/strong>, quien ha sido una de las voces m\u00e1s visibles en defensa de los animales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para el jefe de Estado, la eliminaci\u00f3n de la tauromaquia en Colombia constituye tambi\u00e9n una victoria del <strong>movimiento progresista<\/strong>, que ha incorporado la defensa de los derechos animales dentro de una agenda m\u00e1s amplia de cambios sociales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con este fallo hist\u00f3rico, Colombia se suma a otros pa\u00edses de la regi\u00f3n que han limitado o prohibido las corridas de toros, consolidando un giro cultural hacia la <strong>protecci\u00f3n y bienestar animal<\/strong> como principio de pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La Corte Constitucional dej\u00f3 en firme la Ley 2385 de 2024, que proh\u00edbe las corridas de toros en todo el territorio nacional.
