Con esta decisi\u00f3n, el alto funcionario mantiene el respaldo mayoritario del Congreso frente a los cuestionamientos de la oposici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El debate se origin\u00f3 tras los hechos violentos ocurridos en agosto, entre ellos el ataque a una patrulla en Amalfi, Antioquia, en el que murieron 13 uniformados. Estos sucesos motivaron a varios congresistas a pedir la salida del jefe de la cartera de Defensa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante la sesi\u00f3n, el representante citante, Juan Espinal, cuestion\u00f3 la gesti\u00f3n del ministro y lo responsabiliz\u00f3 por la situaci\u00f3n de seguridad en varias regiones del pa\u00eds. \u201cSolo 20 representantes a la C\u00e1mara tuvimos la valent\u00eda de votar s\u00ed por la moci\u00f3n de censura. \u00bfQui\u00e9n responde por el asesinato de Miguel Uribe y de otros l\u00edderes sociales y pol\u00edticos?\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tras la votaci\u00f3n, el ministro S\u00e1nchez asegur\u00f3 que seguir\u00e1 trabajando por la seguridad nacional y reiter\u00f3 el compromiso de su despacho para lograr el regreso de los uniformados que permanecen secuestrados. Tambi\u00e9n destac\u00f3 que se fortalecer\u00e1n las operaciones en zonas cr\u00edticas del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Desde el Pacto Hist\u00f3rico, el representante Gabriel Becerra resalt\u00f3 la amplia diferencia en los votos y defendi\u00f3 la gesti\u00f3n del ministro. \u201cHoy, por inmensa mayor\u00eda, la C\u00e1mara ha refrendado la confianza en su liderazgo.
