Con la atenci\u00f3n de 3.950 caninos y felinos<\/strong>, la Gobernaci\u00f3n del Huila culmin\u00f3 la segunda fase del Programa de Sanidad e Inocuidad Animal<\/em> en el Centro Poblado La Victoria del municipio de Villavieja. La estrategia, liderada por la Secretar\u00eda de Agricultura y Miner\u00eda<\/strong>, benefici\u00f3 a comunidades vulnerables de 14 municipios mediante jornadas gratuitas de esterilizaci\u00f3n y desparasitaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desde tempranas horas, decenas de familias de sectores rurales como San Alfonso y La Victoria acudieron a la jornada que cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de profesionales en medicina veterinaria, quienes realizaron intervenciones quir\u00fargicas y tratamientos antiparasitarios. Estas brigadas, desarrolladas en 20 puntos del departamento, buscan mejorar el bienestar animal y la salud p\u00fablica en zonas urbanas y rurales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El programa tambi\u00e9n se ejecut\u00f3 en municipios como La Plata, Tesalia, Palermo, Campoalegre, Hobo, Pitalito, Rivera, Timan\u00e1, Tello, Teruel y Baraya, adem\u00e1s de varios sectores de Neiva. Gracias a la gran acogida ciudadana, el gobernador Rodrigo Villalba Mosquera<\/strong> autoriz\u00f3 ampliar la meta inicial de 2.550 animales a 3.950, lo que permiti\u00f3 extender la cobertura a nuevas localidades del norte y centro del Huila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De acuerdo con c\u00e1lculos de expertos, el impacto de estas jornadas representa una reducci\u00f3n estimada de 37.200 cr\u00edas anuales en condici\u00f3n de abandono<\/strong>, derivada de las hembras intervenidas durante esta fase. Adem\u00e1s, la estrategia contribuye a disminuir la propagaci\u00f3n de vectores y enfermedades que afectan tanto a animales dom\u00e9sticos como a la producci\u00f3n agropecuaria del departamento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con esta segunda etapa, el programa de sanidad animal alcanza un total de 6.200 perros y gatos atendidos en 2025<\/strong>, sumando las dos fases del proyecto \u201cFortalecimiento de estrategias de sanidad, inocuidad y trazabilidad en la producci\u00f3n agropecuaria del Huila\u201d.
