La excongresista, que se fug\u00f3 de un consultorio odontol\u00f3gico en 2019, habl\u00f3 sobre su tiempo en reclusi\u00f3n y su estancia en Venezuela, describiendo las condiciones como \u201cdeplorables\u201d y se\u00f1alando que ha estado sometida a situaciones dif\u00edciles durante tres a\u00f1os en ese pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Merlano expres\u00f3 sentirse tranquila en su actual lugar de reclusi\u00f3n y asegur\u00f3 haber reflexionado sobre sus errores. \u201cHe podido darme cuenta de los errores que ten\u00eda, no como pol\u00edtica, sino como ser humano, como madre, como familia, y creo que he ganado mucho\u201d, afirm\u00f3 la exparlamentaria. Sin embargo, pidi\u00f3 que cesaran las \u201csevicias\u201d en su caso y que no se la juzgara p\u00fablicamente, alegando que solo ella conoce las razones que la llevaron a fugarse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En septiembre de 2024, <strong>Aida Merlano acept\u00f3 haber cometido el delito de fuga de presos<\/strong>, mediante un preacuerdo con la Fiscal\u00eda General de la Naci\u00f3n, que ahora est\u00e1 a la espera de aprobaci\u00f3n judicial. La decisi\u00f3n sobre este preacuerdo ser\u00e1 tomada por un juez el pr\u00f3ximo <strong>5 de diciembre<\/strong>, lo que determinar\u00e1 si se valida la negociaci\u00f3n con el ente acusador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cabe recordar que Merlano cumple adem\u00e1s dos condenas impuestas por la Corte Suprema de Justicia: en septiembre de 2019 fue sentenciada a <strong>cinco a\u00f1os y seis meses de prisi\u00f3n<\/strong> por superar los topes de gastos de campa\u00f1a y a <strong>11 a\u00f1os y cuatro meses<\/strong> por <strong>compra de votos<\/strong>, delitos que constituyen el n\u00facleo de sus procesos judiciales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La aparici\u00f3n de Merlano ante el juez mantiene en foco p\u00fablico su situaci\u00f3n legal y las repercusiones de su fuga en 2019, mientras se espera la decisi\u00f3n sobre el preacuerdo que podr\u00eda afectar la duraci\u00f3n y condiciones de su reclusi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Desde la guarnici\u00f3n militar donde se encuentra recluida, Aida Merlano Rebolledo reapareci\u00f3 este jueves ante un juez en una audiencia que marc\u00f3 un nuevo cap\u00edtulo en su proceso judicial.
