El hecho ocurri\u00f3 el 15 de noviembre y fue confirmado por Medicina Legal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEs dolorosa la p\u00e9rdida de los menores de edad y yo llevar\u00e9 ese pesar en mi conciencia. S\u00e9 que nunca podr\u00e9 superar el dolor de sus madres, a las que pido perd\u00f3n\u201d, expres\u00f3 Petro en su cuenta de X, asumiendo la responsabilidad por lo ocurrido en su calidad de jefe de Estado y comandante de las Fuerzas Armadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El mandatario explic\u00f3 que durante la acci\u00f3n militar no se detect\u00f3 la presencia de menores, aunque reconoci\u00f3 que era una posibilidad. \u201cYa en la acci\u00f3n, los menores que no detectamos que existieran, pero era muy posible, son combatientes en acci\u00f3n ofensiva\u201d, dijo, agregando que este tipo de casos son analizados bajo el Derecho Internacional Humanitario (DIH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Petro se\u00f1al\u00f3 que la emboscada fue una medida para frenar la expansi\u00f3n de unos 150 integrantes del grupo armado al norte del departamento donde fueron ubicados. \u201cLas columnas de los narcos van por la selva y no son visibles para saber edades, no hay planificaci\u00f3n de semanas\u201d, a\u00f1adi\u00f3, justificando la operaci\u00f3n militar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por \u00faltimo, el jefe de Estado reiter\u00f3 que la pol\u00edtica de seguridad de su gobierno tiene un car\u00e1cter \u201cpol\u00edtico\/militar\u201d, en la que la opci\u00f3n armada \u201csiempre est\u00e1 disponible si el grupo armado no accede a la negociaci\u00f3n ni a la paz\u201d.
