La capital huilense report\u00f3 una reducci\u00f3n significativa en las muertes por siniestros viales durante octubre de 2025. Seg\u00fan el Observatorio de Seguridad Vial, las v\u00edctimas fatales pasaron de 11 en 2024 a 6 este a\u00f1o<\/strong>, lo que representa una disminuci\u00f3n del 45,5%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante el mismo periodo, se registraron 48 accidentes de tr\u00e1nsito<\/strong>, nueve m\u00e1s que en octubre de 2024, cuando hubo 39 casos. El n\u00famero de heridos aument\u00f3 un 55,5%<\/strong>, al pasar de 27 a 42, mientras que los da\u00f1os materiales bajaron un 100%, sin reportes en el \u00faltimo mes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las comunas con mayor \u00edndice de siniestralidad fueron la Cuatro (20,83%)<\/strong>, Siete (18,75%)<\/strong> y Uno (12,5%)<\/strong>, que concentraron el 64,58% de los casos. Los barrios Centro, Las Brisas y Los M\u00e1rtires<\/strong> se destacaron como los sectores con m\u00e1s reportes, siendo el choque<\/strong> el tipo de accidente m\u00e1s com\u00fan, con un 77% del total<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Secretar\u00eda de Movilidad resalt\u00f3 el trabajo del equipo de Educaci\u00f3n Vial<\/strong>, que lleg\u00f3 a m\u00e1s de 4.900 actores viales<\/strong> con campa\u00f1as pedag\u00f3gicas y entrega de cascos, luces y elementos reflectivos. Tambi\u00e9n destac\u00f3 la estrategia \u201cMi escuela, mi seguridad vial\u201d<\/strong>, que llev\u00f3 formaci\u00f3n a colegios urbanos y rurales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adem\u00e1s, se ejecutaron labores t\u00e9cnicas en 60 intersecciones semaforizadas<\/strong>, se modernizaron equipos en la Zona Industrial<\/strong> y, gracias al convenio con la Agencia Nacional de Seguridad Vial<\/strong>, se complet\u00f3 la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n de la calle S\u00e9ptima<\/strong>.
