Desde entonces, el sistema ha movilizado <strong>m\u00e1s de 5.554 millones de viajes<\/strong>, consolid\u00e1ndose como el eje del transporte p\u00fablico del Valle de Aburr\u00e1 y s\u00edmbolo de la transformaci\u00f3n urbana de la ciudad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo que comenz\u00f3 movilizando 120.000 personas al d\u00eda, hoy transporta <strong>1,1 millones de pasajeros diarios<\/strong> entre trenes, cables, buses y tranv\u00eda. Cada trayecto, destacan sus directivas, cuenta una historia: la de los estudiantes que madrugan, los trabajadores que cruzan el valle, las familias que se reencuentran y los sue\u00f1os que avanzan un poco m\u00e1s cerca del destino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El gerente del Metro, <strong>Tom\u00e1s Elejalde<\/strong>, asegur\u00f3 que el futuro del sistema est\u00e1 lleno de oportunidades. \u201cEl Metro tiene un futuro prometedor con m\u00e1s de cien proyectos para conectar la regi\u00f3n metropolitana y las zonas de Antioquia. Vendr\u00e1n otros treinta a\u00f1os de grandes aportes al bienestar de la ciudadan\u00eda\u201d, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Actualmente, la red cuenta con <strong>12 l\u00edneas<\/strong>, incluidas <strong>seis de Metrocable<\/strong>, que acercan comunidades en las laderas de Medell\u00edn. En total, son <strong>85 kil\u00f3metros de recorrido<\/strong> que han mejorado la movilidad, reducido la contaminaci\u00f3n y fortalecido el sentido de pertenencia en la ciudad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elejalde destac\u00f3 que el crecimiento contin\u00faa con <strong>proyectos como el Metro de la 80<\/strong>, la <strong>incorporaci\u00f3n de 13 nuevos trenes ensamblados en Bello<\/strong> y <strong>mejoras de accesibilidad en las estaciones m\u00e1s concurridas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El directivo tambi\u00e9n resalt\u00f3 la labor de la llamada <strong>Gente Metro<\/strong>, tanto trabajadores como usuarios, quienes con su comportamiento mantienen viva la <strong>Cultura Metro<\/strong>, nacida en 1988 y hoy parte esencial del ADN de Medell\u00edn.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El Metro de Medell\u00edn celebr\u00f3 tres d\u00e9cadas desde su primer viaje entre Alpujarra y Parque Berr\u00edo en 1995.
