El gobernador del Huila, Rodrigo Villalba Mosquera<\/strong>, anunci\u00f3 la aprobaci\u00f3n de cuatro nuevos proyectos de agua potable y saneamiento b\u00e1sico<\/strong> que beneficiar\u00e1n a los municipios de Suaza, Palestina y Paicol<\/strong>, tras la realizaci\u00f3n del tercer Comit\u00e9 Departamental de Agua Potable y Saneamiento B\u00e1sico<\/strong>, liderado por la administraci\u00f3n departamental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De acuerdo con Aguas del Huila<\/strong>, las iniciativas incluyen la adquisici\u00f3n de un veh\u00edculo compactador de cargue<\/strong> para la recolecci\u00f3n de residuos s\u00f3lidos, la construcci\u00f3n de unidades sanitarias rurales<\/strong> en Palestina, y la optimizaci\u00f3n de los acueductos regionales<\/strong> La Cumbre, Alto San Miguel, Pe\u00f1a Negra y Santa In\u00e9s, adem\u00e1s del sistema de La Laja<\/strong>, en Paicol. Todos los proyectos fueron aprobados y entran en fase de contrataci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cComo gobernador me alegra presidir el Plan Departamental de Aguas (PDA), que logramos prorrogar mediante ordenanza. Gracias a la gesti\u00f3n con la Asamblea Departamental, contamos con una provisi\u00f3n de 134 mil millones de pesos<\/strong> en vigencias futuras para fortalecer este programa\u201d, destac\u00f3 Villalba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El mandatario explic\u00f3 que los recursos del PDA funcionan como un fondo de ahorro municipal<\/strong> al que pueden acceder las alcald\u00edas para cofinanciar obras. \u201cLes he dicho a los alcaldes: presenten sus proyectos, que el Departamento pondr\u00e1 lo que haga falta para sacarlos adelante. Lo importante es el liderazgo y la voluntad pol\u00edtica, porque no hay nada m\u00e1s esencial que el agua\u201d, enfatiz\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Villalba record\u00f3 que al inicio de su gobierno ya se hab\u00edan puesto en marcha proyectos similares en Tesalia, Colombia y San Agust\u00edn<\/strong>, atendiendo las principales necesidades de las comunidades rurales. Finalmente, felicit\u00f3 a los alcaldes de los municipios beneficiados y reiter\u00f3 su compromiso con la gesti\u00f3n del agua potable: \u201cHoy contamos con $175 mil millones<\/strong> para obras como las PTAR de Acevedo, La Plata, Teruel y El Pital, cofinanciadas con el Gobierno Nacional, los municipios y el Departamento.
