Trump<\/strong>, en la Casa Blanca, acompa\u00f1ado por una delegaci\u00f3n de alto nivel. El encuentro se desarroll\u00f3 en un ambiente calificado como \u201cabsolutamente amable\u201d por ambas partes y tuvo como eje central la <strong>erradicaci\u00f3n de cultivos il\u00edcitos<\/strong> y la <strong>lucha contra el narcotr\u00e1fico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La jornada inici\u00f3 a las <strong>10:45 a. m.<\/strong>, cuando Petro sali\u00f3 de su residencia en <strong>DuPont Circle<\/strong> hacia la Casa Blanca, escoltado por una caravana de seis veh\u00edculos y dos patrullas policiales. En una de las camionetas viajaban el mandatario colombiano y el embajador de Colombia en Washington, <strong>Daniel Garc\u00eda-Pe\u00f1a<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antes de dirigirse al encuentro, Petro ofreci\u00f3 una breve declaraci\u00f3n p\u00fablica en compa\u00f1\u00eda de su familia y su gabinete. \u201cLa lucha contra el narcotr\u00e1fico, nosotros s\u00ed la hemos sufrido y de verdad, no es un discurso. He dedicado 15 a\u00f1os de mi vida a esta lucha. Es el poder pol\u00edtico que se entreg\u00f3 a la codicia y nosotros estamos rescat\u00e1ndola, porque una Colombia en paz es una Colombia que prime la belleza\u201d, afirm\u00f3 el jefe de Estado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previo a ingresar a la Casa Blanca, el presidente se despidi\u00f3 de su familia y de varios miembros de su equipo, entre ellos <strong>Nhora Mondrag\u00f3n<\/strong>, directora del DAPRE, y <strong>Gloria Miranda<\/strong>, directora de Cultivos Il\u00edcitos. \u201cMe acompa\u00f1a mi familia con su amor antes de ingresar a mi reuni\u00f3n con el presidente Trump\u201d, expres\u00f3 Petro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el <strong>Despacho Oval<\/strong>, las im\u00e1genes oficiales mostraron a ambos mandatarios junto a sus delegaciones. Por Colombia estuvieron presentes la <strong>canciller Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio<\/strong>, el <strong>ministro de Defensa Pedro S\u00e1nchez<\/strong> y el embajador Garc\u00eda-Pe\u00f1a. Del lado estadounidense participaron el <strong>vicepresidente J. D. Vance<\/strong>, el <strong>secretario de Estado Marco Rubio<\/strong> y el <strong>senador por Ohio Bernie Moreno<\/strong>, considerado una figura clave en las relaciones bilaterales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>Casa Blanca<\/strong> restringi\u00f3 el acceso de la prensa, permitiendo solo dos c\u00e1maras oficiales: una de la Presidencia de Colombia y otra de la propia Casa Blanca. Las primeras im\u00e1genes fueron difundidas por la Presidencia colombiana, dado que la administraci\u00f3n estadounidense no suele divulgar material de este tipo en primera instancia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante la reuni\u00f3n, el ministro S\u00e1nchez present\u00f3 los <strong>informes sobre los avances de Colombia en la lucha contra el narcotr\u00e1fico<\/strong>, la persecuci\u00f3n al crimen organizado y los resultados operacionales recientes. Seg\u00fan fuentes de <strong>Caracol Radio<\/strong>, el eje de la conversaci\u00f3n fue la <strong>erradicaci\u00f3n de cultivos il\u00edcitos<\/strong>, un tema que coincidi\u00f3 con la <strong>extradici\u00f3n a Estados Unidos de Andr\u00e9s Felipe Mar\u00edn Silva, alias \u2018Pipe Tulu\u00e1\u2019<\/strong>, ocurrida ese mismo d\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El encuentro, que inicialmente estaba previsto para una hora, se extendi\u00f3 m\u00e1s tiempo del programado. La participaci\u00f3n del traductor <strong>Charlie Roberts<\/strong>, habitual en los viajes oficiales del mandatario colombiano, facilit\u00f3 el desarrollo del di\u00e1logo. Sobre la <strong>1:00 p. m.<\/strong>, la Presidencia confirm\u00f3 la conclusi\u00f3n de la reuni\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finalmente, <strong>Karoline Leavitt<\/strong>, portavoz de Trump en la Casa Blanca, declar\u00f3 que el mandatario estadounidense \u201cestaba muy positivo, deseando sentarse con el presidente Gustavo Petro para tener una conversaci\u00f3n\u201d.
