Seg\u00fan el mandatario, las represas afectadas estaban operando por encima de los niveles permitidos, lo que habr\u00eda contribuido al desbordamiento de los r\u00edos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Petro mencion\u00f3 directamente a <strong>Urr\u00e1, Hidroituango y otras hidroel\u00e9ctricas<\/strong>, se\u00f1alando que las emergencias pudieron haberse evitado si se hubieran controlado los embalses con anticipaci\u00f3n. \u201cHab\u00eda represas demasiado llenas, incluso por encima de los niveles permitidos\u201d, indic\u00f3 durante su declaraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El jefe de Estado cuestion\u00f3 adem\u00e1s los intereses econ\u00f3micos detr\u00e1s de estas decisiones, al sugerir que las generadoras <strong>mantuvieron los embalses llenos para especular con los precios de la energ\u00eda<\/strong>. \u201c\u00bfDejaron las represas llenas para hacer contratos de venta de energ\u00eda a precios de costos de gas? \u00bfSer\u00e1 que las superintendencias no actuar\u00e1n?\u201d, dijo, acusando al sector de privilegiar las utilidades sobre la seguridad de las comunidades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan el presidente, al llegar a niveles cr\u00edticos, las represas se vieron obligadas a <strong>liberar m\u00e1s de 2.500 toneladas de agua por segundo<\/strong>, lo que calific\u00f3 como un <strong>\u201cdelito ambiental\u201d<\/strong>. A\u00f1adi\u00f3 que esta acci\u00f3n agrav\u00f3 el impacto de las lluvias y provoc\u00f3 graves afectaciones en zonas rurales del Caribe colombiano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finalmente, Petro apunt\u00f3 directamente contra la direcci\u00f3n de <strong>Urr\u00e1 S.A.<\/strong>, afirmando que su gerente <strong>debe renunciar<\/strong>. \u201cHe ordenado una investigaci\u00f3n inmediata a las superintendencias. El gerente de Urr\u00e1 mantuvo el 27 % de los d\u00edas de los \u00faltimos dos meses por encima del nivel permitido.
