En la actualidad, el porte de armas est\u00e1 limitado por un <strong>decreto presidencial<\/strong> prorrogado hasta el <strong>31 de diciembre de 2026<\/strong>, que exige permisos especiales para su tenencia y uso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El proyecto de ley, que avanza en <strong>plenaria de la C\u00e1mara de Representantes<\/strong>, tiene como ponente al congresista <strong>Juan Carlos Wills<\/strong>, quien propone que los ciudadanos con permisos legales puedan portar sus armas sin las limitaciones impuestas por los decretos de suspensi\u00f3n general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seg\u00fan explic\u00f3 Wills, el objetivo de la propuesta es \u201crestablecer el derecho de quienes cumplen con todos los requisitos legales y no tienen antecedentes\u201d, para que puedan ejercer el porte sin restricciones adicionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El representante argument\u00f3 que \u201cm\u00e1s del 90% de los delitos en Colombia se cometen con armas ilegales\u201d y que las prohibiciones al porte legal no han logrado reducir los \u00edndices de homicidios ni los delitos violentos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De acuerdo con el legislador, alrededor del <strong>80% de las armas que circulan en el pa\u00eds provienen del mercado ilegal<\/strong>, abasteciendo a grupos armados y organizaciones criminales que operan en distintas regiones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El <strong>debate sobre el porte de armas en Colombia<\/strong> divide opiniones entre quienes consideran que la medida podr\u00eda fortalecer la defensa personal y quienes advierten riesgos para la <strong>seguridad ciudadana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El proyecto continuar\u00e1 su tr\u00e1mite en el Congreso, donde deber\u00e1 superar nuevos debates antes de convertirse en ley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mientras tanto, el <strong>debate sobre el porte de armas en Colombia<\/strong> seguir\u00e1 abierto en el Legislativo, donde se definir\u00e1 si se mantiene la pol\u00edtica de restricci\u00f3n o se introducen cambios en la regulaci\u00f3n vigente.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El debate sobre el porte de armas en Colombia volvi\u00f3 a tomar fuerza en el Congreso de la Rep\u00fablica, donde actualmente se estudia una iniciativa que busca modificar el esquema de restricci\u00f3n vigente.
