No obstante, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que la figura no deber\u00eda ser \u201csatanizada\u201d, pues en algunos contextos puede contribuir a la estabilidad institucional. \u201cYo no creo que la reelecci\u00f3n en s\u00ed misma sea mala. En muchos pa\u00edses la continuidad de buenos gobiernos ha sido \u00fatil. Pero en Colombia ya cerraron esa puerta y la cerraron con llave\u201d, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La legisladora agreg\u00f3 que una discusi\u00f3n sobre la reelecci\u00f3n debe darse \u201cen escenarios de calma y no en medio de la polarizaci\u00f3n\u201d. \u201cAbrir ese debate hoy har\u00eda que a la gente se le pare el pelo de punta\u201d, dijo, insistiendo en que su objetivo ser\u00eda \u201chacer un buen Gobierno y dejar un buen sucesor\u201d, apoyada en \u201cun gran equipo y un gran partido\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Respecto a la propuesta del presidente <strong>Gustavo Petro<\/strong> de convocar una <strong>Asamblea Nacional Constituyente<\/strong>, Valencia consider\u00f3 que no es una salida adecuada a los problemas estructurales del pa\u00eds. \u201cEn un momento de polarizaci\u00f3n, de tantas crisis, abrir una discusi\u00f3n sobre una nueva Constituci\u00f3n es una locura, porque las constituciones se hacen para sellar acuerdos, no para abrir heridas\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finalmente, la senadora sostuvo que el debate sobre reelecci\u00f3n podr\u00eda considerarse en el \u00e1mbito local, especialmente en ciudades donde los alcaldes demuestran buenos resultados.
