{"id":94544,"date":"2026-02-27T04:41:36","date_gmt":"2026-02-27T09:41:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/luchonoticias.com\/editor\/?p=94544"},"modified":"2026-02-27T04:41:37","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T09:41:37","slug":"nicolas-maduro-pide-que-su-caso-sea-desestimado","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/luchonoticias.com\/editor\/nicolas-maduro-pide-que-su-caso-sea-desestimado\/","title":{"rendered":"Nicol\u00e1s Maduro pide que su caso sea desestimado"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>El derrocado presidente venezolano <strong>Nicol\u00e1s Maduro<\/strong> solicit\u00f3 ante un tribunal de Estados Unidos que se <strong>desestime el proceso penal en su contra<\/strong> por <strong>narcotr\u00e1fico y corrupci\u00f3n<\/strong>, tras la negativa de la <strong>Oficina de Control de Activos Extranjeros (OFAC)<\/strong> a permitir que el Gobierno de Venezuela financie su defensa legal con fondos estatales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A trav\u00e9s de una moci\u00f3n presentada por su abogado, <strong>Barry Pollack<\/strong>, Maduro argumenta que la negativa de la OFAC \u2014\u00f3rgano del Departamento del Tesoro de EE. UU.\u2014 <strong>interfiere con su derecho constitucional a contratar al abogado de su elecci\u00f3n<\/strong>, al impedir que su pa\u00eds pague los honorarios de su defensa. Por ese motivo, solicita al juez federal que <strong>anule la acusaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s reciente en su contra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La documentaci\u00f3n remitida al tribunal incluye una <strong>declaraci\u00f3n jurada de Maduro<\/strong> en la que afirma que desea seguir siendo representado por Pollack, <strong>no puede costear personalmente su defensa<\/strong> y tiene el <strong>derecho legal a que el Gobierno venezolano asuma esos gastos<\/strong>. Tambi\u00e9n se\u00f1ala que est\u00e1 dispuesto a presentar pruebas para respaldar esta situaci\u00f3n si se le requieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pollack advirti\u00f3 que si el caso <strong>no es desestimado<\/strong>, solicitar\u00e1 autorizaci\u00f3n al juez para <strong>retirarse como abogado defensor<\/strong>, alegando que no puede continuar representando a Maduro debido a la falta de financiamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La negativa de la OFAC se produce despu\u00e9s de que inicialmente se hubiera autorizado el uso de fondos venezolanos para cubrir los honorarios, pero esa licencia fue <strong>revocada sin explicaci\u00f3n clara<\/strong>, complicando la defensa del expresidente en el caso que enfrenta en la justicia estadounidense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maduro, acusado de narcotr\u00e1fico y corrupci\u00f3n por autoridades estadounidenses, se declar\u00f3 <strong>no culpable<\/strong> y tiene programada su <strong>siguiente audiencia judicial para el 26 de marzo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El derrocado presidente venezolano Nicol\u00e1s Maduro solicit\u00f3 ante un tribunal de Estados Unidos que se desestime el proceso penal en su contra por narcotr\u00e1fico y corrupci\u00f3n, tras la negativa de la Oficina de Control de Activos Extranjeros (OFAC) a permitir que el Gobierno de Venezuela financie su defensa legal con fondos estatales.
