Oviedo revel\u00f3 que Valencia le hizo el ofrecimiento oficial tras los resultados de la Gran Consulta por Colombia, en la que obtuvo m\u00e1s de 1,2 millones de votos, convirti\u00e9ndose en una de las votaciones m\u00e1s altas de ese proceso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pese a las diferencias iniciales y a las llamadas \u201cl\u00edneas rojas\u201d que ambos hab\u00edan planteado en algunos temas pol\u00edticos, finalmente llegaron a un acuerdo para competir juntos en la primera vuelta presidencial, en la que se enfrentar\u00e1n a otros aspirantes como Iv\u00e1n Cepeda, Abelardo de la Espriella, Sergio Fajardo, Claudia L\u00f3pez, Clara L\u00f3pez y Roy Barreras, entre otros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oviedo, economista de la Universidad del Rosario con maestr\u00eda y doctorado en Econom\u00eda de la Universidad de Toulouse, ha desarrollado una amplia trayectoria en el sector p\u00fablico y acad\u00e9mico. Su figura tom\u00f3 mayor notoriedad nacional cuando fue designado director del DANE por el entonces presidente Iv\u00e1n Duque, cargo que ocup\u00f3 entre 2018 y 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tras dejar la entidad, en 2023 incursion\u00f3 en la pol\u00edtica electoral al aspirar a la Alcald\u00eda de Bogot\u00e1, donde obtuvo m\u00e1s de 600.000 votos y se ubic\u00f3 en el segundo lugar, detr\u00e1s de Carlos Fernando Gal\u00e1n.
