El proceso est\u00e1 siendo liderado por fiscales en Nueva York, con apoyo de agencias federales especializadas en la lucha contra el crimen organizado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El informe se\u00f1ala que la investigaci\u00f3n se encuentra en una etapa preliminar y que, por ahora, no est\u00e1 claro si derivar\u00e1 en cargos formales. Adem\u00e1s, no hay evidencia de que la Casa Blanca haya promovido el inicio de estas pesquisas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este nuevo episodio se da en medio de una relaci\u00f3n tensa entre Colombia y Estados Unidos desde el regreso de Donald Trump a la presidencia en 2025. Las diferencias se agudizaron inicialmente por la negativa del Gobierno colombiano a recibir vuelos con deportados, lo que provoc\u00f3 amenazas de sanciones econ\u00f3micas por parte de Washington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las fricciones continuaron en temas clave como la lucha contra el narcotr\u00e1fico, incluyendo la descertificaci\u00f3n de Colombia en esta materia y sanciones contra funcionarios del pa\u00eds. En septiembre de 2025, incluso, Estados Unidos revoc\u00f3 la visa de Petro tras declaraciones pol\u00e9micas en el marco de la Asamblea General de la ONU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sin embargo, en los \u00faltimos meses se ha registrado una leve distensi\u00f3n diplom\u00e1tica.
