Seis estudiantes de grado sexto de la Instituci\u00f3n Educativa Cascajal, en zona rural de Timan\u00e1, desarrollaron un proyecto innovador para enfrentar la contaminaci\u00f3n de la quebrada Las Vueltas, una fuente h\u00eddrica clave para su comunidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La iniciativa, denominada \u2018Las vueltas de bichos y agua\u2019, surgi\u00f3 tras identificar el impacto del vertimiento de aguas residuales dom\u00e9sticas en este afluente que abastece a la vereda Cascajal Alto. A partir de all\u00ed, los estudiantes comenzaron a investigar la calidad del agua utilizando macroinvertebrados acu\u00e1ticos como bioindicadores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seg\u00fan explic\u00f3 la docente Mar\u00eda Isabel Obando, el proyecto naci\u00f3 en un espacio de ciencia, tecnolog\u00eda e innovaci\u00f3n del colegio, donde los estudiantes se plantearon preguntas sobre la potabilidad del agua y su impacto en los ecosistemas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con los resultados obtenidos, los j\u00f3venes investigadores dise\u00f1aron un prototipo de sistema de tratamiento de aguas residuales para sus viviendas, utilizando materiales accesibles como canecas recicladas y guadua, con el fin de reducir la contaminaci\u00f3n antes de que el agua llegue a la quebrada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El modelo ya fue implementado de forma piloto en una finca de la zona y actualmente sus resultados son analizados en laboratorio. El proyecto cuenta con el acompa\u00f1amiento de docentes y de la Secretar\u00eda de Educaci\u00f3n del Huila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gracias a esta iniciativa, los estudiantes representar\u00e1n al departamento en las Olimpiadas STEAM + Colombia, donde se destacan propuestas que integran ciencia, tecnolog\u00eda, ingenier\u00eda, artes y matem\u00e1ticas para resolver problem\u00e1ticas reales en los territorios.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
