Un grupo de estudiantes de secundaria de la Instituci\u00f3n Educativa La Argentina, en zona rural de San Agust\u00edn, lidera un proyecto cient\u00edfico que busca mejorar la calidad del agua y proteger la biodiversidad, incluido el mono nocturno andino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La iniciativa, denominada \u201cEncontreMONOS\u201d<\/em>, ha llevado a los j\u00f3venes a recorrer quebradas del Macizo Colombiano, donde nacen afluentes del r\u00edo Magdalena, para analizar el estado de las fuentes h\u00eddricas. All\u00ed identificaron que la conservaci\u00f3n del bosque est\u00e1 directamente relacionada con la calidad del agua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pero el proyecto va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del diagn\u00f3stico. Los estudiantes dise\u00f1an sensores para monitorear el recurso h\u00eddrico y trabajan en la creaci\u00f3n de biofiltros naturales que permitan mejorar el agua que consumen sus comunidades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La propuesta, orientada por docentes de la instituci\u00f3n y apoyada por la Secretar\u00eda de Educaci\u00f3n del Huila, convierte a los alumnos en investigadores de su propio territorio y promueve soluciones ambientales desde el aula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El trabajo fue seleccionado entre los 12 mejores del pa\u00eds para las Olimpiadas STEAM+ Colombia 2026, donde el departamento buscar\u00e1 destacarse nuevamente tras su triunfo en 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
