La Corporaci\u00f3n Aut\u00f3noma Regional del Alto Magdalena CAM puso en funcionamiento un mariposario en el sur del Huila, un nuevo escenario de educaci\u00f3n ambiental ubicado en la finca Marengo, en Pitalito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Este espacio hace parte del Sendero Ecol\u00f3gico de Interpretaci\u00f3n Ambiental del Coraz\u00f3n del Macizo Colombiano y permitir\u00e1 a los visitantes conocer de cerca el ciclo de vida de las mariposas, as\u00ed como su papel fundamental como polinizadores en los ecosistemas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De acuerdo con la entidad, el mariposario se integra a las 51 estaciones ambientales del recorrido SendiCAM, junto a espacios como el refugio de murci\u00e9lagos, el meliponario y el bosque de colibr\u00edes, fortaleciendo la denominada ruta de los polinizadores en el territorio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El proyecto busca incrementar significativamente la reproducci\u00f3n de mariposas, pasando de un promedio natural cercano al 5 % hasta un 50 %, con el objetivo de liberar posteriormente los ejemplares en \u00e1reas protegidas y ecosistemas estrat\u00e9gicos del departamento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En el lugar, los visitantes podr\u00e1n observar las distintas etapas del desarrollo de estos insectos, desde el huevo, la larva y la oruga, hasta la cris\u00e1lida y su fase adulta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La iniciativa fue liderada por profesionales del hogar de paso de fauna de la Direcci\u00f3n Territorial Sur de la CAM y se concret\u00f3 tras cerca de dos a\u00f1os de trabajo, que incluyeron el dise\u00f1o de condiciones adecuadas de luz, agua y vegetaci\u00f3n para garantizar el h\u00e1bitat de las especies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actualmente, el mariposario alberga seis especies nativas del Macizo Colombiano, con la meta de alcanzar 16. Las cris\u00e1lidas fueron obtenidas a trav\u00e9s de organizaciones especializadas con licencias ambientales y adaptadas exitosamente en este entorno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La CAM destac\u00f3 que ya se han registrado los primeros procesos de reproducci\u00f3n dentro del mariposario, lo que representa un avance en los objetivos de conservaci\u00f3n y educaci\u00f3n ambiental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con esta nueva estaci\u00f3n, se espera que el sendero ecol\u00f3gico incremente su n\u00famero de visitantes y alcance cerca de 200.000 personas durante este a\u00f1o, promoviendo el conocimiento y la protecci\u00f3n de la biodiversidad en el Huila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
