{"id":97768,"date":"2026-05-06T10:48:09","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T15:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/luchonoticias.com\/editor\/?p=97768"},"modified":"2026-05-06T10:48:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T15:48:10","slug":"isla-gorgona-clave-para-investigar-a-marte","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/luchonoticias.com\/editor\/isla-gorgona-clave-para-investigar-a-marte\/","title":{"rendered":"Isla Gorgona&#8230;\u00bfclave para investigar a Marte?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>La Universidad Nacional de Colombia inform\u00f3 que un equipo del Grupo de Ciencias Planetarias y Astrobiolog\u00eda (GCPA) identific\u00f3 en la Isla Gorgona un importante an\u00e1logo terrestre del planeta Marte, tras integrar datos de sensores orbitales, an\u00e1lisis de meteoritos marcianos y estudios geol\u00f3gicos previos mediante nuevas metodolog\u00edas estad\u00edsticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan la investigaci\u00f3n, este territorio ubicado a unos 30 kil\u00f3metros de la costa del Pac\u00edfico colombiano alberga formaciones rocosas conocidas como komatitas, que se originaron hace cerca de 90 millones de a\u00f1os. A diferencia de otras regiones donde estas rocas tienen miles de millones de a\u00f1os, su relativa juventud permite estudiar procesos volc\u00e1nicos comparables con los que habr\u00edan ocurrido en Marte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De esta manera, la Isla Gorgona se suma a un grupo reducido de lugares en el mundo que funcionan como an\u00e1logos naturales del planeta rojo. El estudio confirm\u00f3 la afinidad geoqu\u00edmica entre estas rocas y las condiciones marcianas, lo que abre nuevas posibilidades para la investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica desde la Tierra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El ge\u00f3logo David Tovar, candidato a doctor en Geociencias de la Universidad Nacional y en Astrobiolog\u00eda de la Universidad de Alcal\u00e1, explic\u00f3 que este hallazgo permitir\u00e1 desarrollar proyectos en geolog\u00eda planetaria y astrobiolog\u00eda liderados desde Colombia, adem\u00e1s de fortalecer la participaci\u00f3n del pa\u00eds en iniciativas cient\u00edficas internacionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asimismo, destac\u00f3 que estos an\u00e1logos geoqu\u00edmicos son clave para la exploraci\u00f3n espacial, ya que permiten calibrar instrumentos antes de enviarlos a Marte.
