En el resguardo ind\u00edgena Paniquita, ubicado en el municipio de Rivera, se desarroll\u00f3 una jornada de formaci\u00f3n en gesti\u00f3n del riesgo de desastres enfocada en fortalecer las capacidades comunitarias para la prevenci\u00f3n, preparaci\u00f3n y respuesta ante emergencias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La actividad cont\u00f3 con el acompa\u00f1amiento de la Oficina para la Gesti\u00f3n del Riesgo de Desastres del Huila y la participaci\u00f3n de la comunidad ind\u00edgena, en un espacio de articulaci\u00f3n institucional e intercambio de saberes ancestrales relacionados con el cuidado del territorio y la protecci\u00f3n ambiental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante la jornada, el gobernador del cabildo ind\u00edgena Paniquita, Jos\u00e9 Humberto Quiroga, destac\u00f3 la importancia de que las comunidades ind\u00edgenas sean incluidas en estos procesos de formaci\u00f3n. \u201cPara nosotros como pueblo ind\u00edgena es muy importante que nos tengan en cuenta. Nosotros tambi\u00e9n protegemos la naturaleza desde nuestra sabidur\u00eda y estos espacios ayudan a complementar ese conocimiento\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por su parte, el jefe de la Oficina para la Gesti\u00f3n del Riesgo de Desastres del Huila, Jhon Jairo Yepes, resalt\u00f3 la necesidad de construir estrategias de prevenci\u00f3n junto a las comunidades. \u201cLa gesti\u00f3n del riesgo debe realizarse de manera articulada, respetando las pr\u00e1cticas culturales y la relaci\u00f3n que cada comunidad tiene con su territorio\u201d, expres\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La jornada incluy\u00f3 actividades pedag\u00f3gicas sobre identificaci\u00f3n de amenazas, preparaci\u00f3n comunitaria y coordinaci\u00f3n institucional, con el prop\u00f3sito de reducir vulnerabilidades y fortalecer la capacidad de respuesta ante posibles emergencias. Desde la Oficina para la Gesti\u00f3n del Riesgo y la UNGRD reiteraron el compromiso de continuar acompa\u00f1ando a las comunidades ind\u00edgenas del departamento mediante procesos con enfoque diferencial y respeto por su autonom\u00eda cultural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
